Easter 2017

Easter this year we had a special little surprise by having my sister from Arizona come into town, it was the perfect little treat. Our kiddos had so much fun playing together and it reminded me of all of our own adventures we had with each other growing up, life slips by way to quickly.

We didn't do anything extra spectacular but the kids did get little baskets from the Easter Bunny. We also had a family mini egg hunt that Hunter came and joined in on the fun, Brooklyn wasn't interested to much anyways so it turned out great!

We had a bunch more of my other siblings come over and we had an Easter egg hunt and of course some delicious dinner with some outdoor play.

Our Easter traditions may be slim pickings at this time but any time with the family together is such a special moment in my book. Of course I didn't miss out on the chance to grab some Easter photos of the kiddos though, Happy Easter!

Jake 3 Years 1 Month

Jake my boy is another month older and well on his way into his fourth year of life, my goodness boy! Jake Oliver you have grown so much in your short life thus far and watching you progress in life is my greatest blessing. You have this energy and love that I strive to work towards. I love you so much my handsome little boy! Jake at 3 years 1 month...

1. Jake loves water. Jake has always enjoyed water when it comes to baths and of course spitting it down his shirt or anything else that remotely resembles him splashing away. Jake loved watching the baptismal water and now can't wait to have his own baptism so he can play in the water haha.

2. Jake is a healthy little boy. Jake went to his three year old checkup and he is a growing boy. They stated he is really big for his age and weighs a lot. They marked him as a two year old instead of a three year old so that could make a difference. Jake also really hated the gowns they had him change into at the doctors and I don't think he will ever gladly wear those haha. Jake is a perfectly healthy little boy!

3. Jake loves visiting Mom at work. Jake visits me every Friday and it is such a special end of week treat. Jake is such a special little guy how could you not love seeing his smiles?

4. Jake loves playing outside. Jake would be outside all day long and even all night long if we would let this boy. All the outside toys, sunlight, trampoline, you can't go wrong.

5. Jake has been a little fighter. Jake ever since you were born with your hole in the lungs you have been a little fighter. These fights are a bit different as they usually include scratches on your sisters but they are sometimes called for. You definitely know how to defend yourself and that isn't such a bad skill to have in this world. You can do such great things my boy when you place your mind to it, always remember that.

6. Jake loves riding on bikes. Jake rode with his Uncle on his bike and had the time of his life. I think Jake would love a bike of his own when that time comes along.

Jake you have this adventure for life that can bring you such a blessing in life and I love watching you explore that talent. Jake I love everything about you! You my boy are such a ray of sunshine.

Family Baptism

One of our cute little nieces turned eight years old which means we had the special opportunity to go to her baptism. Congrats little Jessie!

Beauty & the Beast

Sometimes we go on spontaneous late night dates.
Sometimes on these dates we go and get new phones first because the phone camera pissed me off.
Sometimes we go to movies in the theater.
Sometimes it happens to be Beauty & the Beast.
Always I love my husband and our adventures together!

Brooklyn 1 Year 5 Months

Brooklyn my baby girl in one more month you will already be a year and a half old and I just don't know how to handle my little girl growing up so quickly. You have this love for life and all those around you, with the softest heart. Brooklyn my girl you truly are amazing! Brooklyn at 1 year 5 months...

1. Brooklyn loves Elsa. Brooklyn has found her Disney character to be obsessed with and Elsa is the winner. Brooklyn has to point and show everyone when anything Elsa pops up, its the cutest thing!

2. Brooklyn plays on her own, climbing things. Brooklyn is such a quick learner with watching her older brother and sister. With our family love of going to playgrounds Brooklyn has been climbing around on them on her own for quite sometime. Sometimes it scares me how independent my little princess is.

3. Brooklyn hates bounce houses. For Jakes birthday we went to a bounce house and Brooklyn did not want anything to do with being on those. I think the unstable foundation is what freaks Brooklyn out. Brooklyn has always been the safe child and is very hesitant to try new things so of course the bounce houses are out haha.

4. Brooklyn loves coloring. When I was younger as a child I had this creativeness love inside me and could color or make things all day long. Brooklyn has that love for coloring and being creative. It is so cute watching a mini me come out in such a beautiful her!

5. Brooklyn has been sick. Brooklyn got a nasty cold that must of been going around complete with earaches and runny nose. Brooklyn kind of became obsessed with her medicine there for a bit as it was the only thing that made her feel better. It was cute to see her try and sneak those fake sick cheesy smiles thru her misery.

6. Brooklyn wears hats, but only in pictures. Brooklyn loves to wear hats or glasses BUT only when she sees herself in a camera and knows a picture will be coming out of it. The hat comes off as soon as the camera goes away, I love her!

7. Brooklyn loves her blankets. Brooklyn is always carrying her blankets around the home to cuddle with. Brooklyn has a Tsum Tsum blanket that is her favorite but any one will really do.

8. Brooklyn watched Conference. Brooklyn is watching more TV and really grasping different things it shows, it was just in time for General Conference. Brooklyn did amazing at coloring and listening to Conference.

9. Brooklyn knows how to open wipes. Baby wipes aren't safe in our home anymore as all the children now know how to open and pull them all out. Did I mention that Brooklyn loves to pull all the wipes out and waste them all. Darn teeth being able to open those latches!

Brooklyn Riley my girl you are perfect in everyway. You have this contagious smile that I can't help but love especially when you do that cheesy smile of yours. You really are our perfect little blessing and arrived into our lives at the perfect time! I love you!

Andie 4 Years 10 Months

Andie my girl your another month older and will be done preschool and going into kindergarten before we know it. Your love for learning, adventure and progressing in this life is something I strive for each day. Andie at 4 years 10 months old...

1. Andie loves Trolls. Andie has changed her mind from her Elena Birthday to a Moana Birthday to now a Trolls birthday. Andie is obsessed with the movie watching it over and over and even singing some of their songs. "I got this feeling" is one of Andie's favorites to sing and in fact its one of my favorites to to hear her sing, "I got this feeling inside my buns" haha I love that girl.

2. Andie wants curly hair. Andie has become attached to Moms curly hair and wishes she had the same. Oh little girl if only you knew how badly Mom wants your beautiful hair. Its a funny phase girls get into when they have straight hair to want curly, and when they have curly hair to want straight. I guess almost five years old is when it begins, vicious cycle!

3. Andie had her first/second dentist appointment. Andie went to see Moms dentist with her to see what can be done about the giant visible hole in her tooth. We found out there is a bit of damage and a lot of money that will need to be going into her teeth. I was worried if she could handle just the shots in her mouth to fix everything or if I should find a pediatric dentist. I finally found a pediatric dentist at primary childrens and decided that was the right choice. Andie was so brave at her dental appointment when it came time to going both times this past month at each office for an exam.

4. Andie loves lunchables. We have been wanting quick and easy meals and how can you not love the lunchables that are pre-made deliciousness. Andie's favorite is the pizza lunchable and can eat 5 of those at a time if we let her. Now I have this brilliant idea to try and make my own, oh the things we do for our amazing children.

5. Andie mailed her first letter. Mailing seems to never happen so I never realized that Andie has never actually mailed her first letter before. Andie is loving coloring and creating all her designs down on paper so when is a better time to start. Nicholas was the lucky one to receive her first letter and how ecstatic she was to receive her first letter back as well.

6. Andie had Kindergarten signup. How is my baby girl old enough to signup for Kindergarten? Andie went and did her assessment for Kindergarten at the same school she went to Preschool at. She is so excited to be able to keep advancing in school and one day learn how to read. Andie was always so worried to miss a day of preschool as she doesn't want to miss the day when they teach her how to read.

7. Andie watched Conference in our flooded out bedroom (the bedroom we stay in when we get flooded out of our house for like the 3rd time in one year). As Andie was listening to the prophets and coloring her papers about the prophets, one of the prophets stated, "Don't be a burden". Andie chimed in, "What? Don't be a Bergen?" If you don't know what a Bergen is then go back to the Trolls obsession and watch that movie haha.

8. Andie is birthday obsessed. Andie loves celebrating peoples birthdays, especially helping to decorate for these said birthdays. Andie had so much fun decorating for Jake's birthday with the Lightning McQueen theme. Since decorating Andie now loves to have mini birthdays for her toys complete with fake food cake and dressing up plus don't forget some of the toy decorations.

Andie Noelle you are such a fun little character to raise in this world. You are such a blessing to me and to your Daddy. We love everything about you! Your love for adventure, your crave for laughter by being so silly, your contagious loving smile and of course we can't forget your fun little obsessions. Andie you are my big helper and I love you so much!
