Sleep Tech

Lots of changes have been happening in the Wadsworth home and one of them was when Mom decided to switch job roles in her work department. When Zach got accepted into the Radiology program we needed to figure out babysitting for the kiddos and my day job of 5 days a week just wasn't going to work.

I loved my job as a front desk receptionist, don't get me wrong, it's my dream to organize papers (Yes I am nerdy like that). I love it! BUT sadly my love for what I was doing had to be placed on a scale on what was best for my family at this time. With that I decided I couldn't be selfish and I had to let go.

I am still with the sleep center, which I enjoy, but I am now working nights and performing the sleep studies on patients. It's interesting as I learn how to read the different stages of sleep in the brain waves and how to adjust CPAP machines plus everything else associated with the job. It's been fun and challenging all at the same time, plus don't forget the sleep deprived portion of it all.

I went through two weeks of training during the day and some night shifts to watch patients get hooked up but now I have been going strong at nights and feel somewhat comfortable maybe (I have to try and convince myself haha).
