April Family Day

Zachary finished up his second semester of the Rad program he is in and had two weeks off so of course we had to celebrate. We had a fun family filled day and tried to fit everything in we possibly could by not spending too much money haha. We started out the day by eating at IHOP because it is one of the favorite sit down spots of the kids, how could you not love smile shaped pancakes?

We then decided to head on over to Wheeler Farm. We haven't been to Wheeler Farm since Brooklyn was a baby or even longer, it's been a very long time. The kids loved it to an extent. Andie was in heaven with the animals and loved trying to touch each one. Andie tried so hard to pet the horse and after many times she finally got it and I don't think she was more proud of herself then in that moment.
Brooklyn loved the playground and of course loved the animals, after all she is our animal loving princess. Brooklyn was so scared to touch the sheep but there was a baby one that was so cute and she couldn't hesitate any longer and touched it. Brooklyn then wanted to pet them all day long, she loved it!
Jake thought the playground and the river running through the farm was the best thing ever but when it came to the smells my boy is a little bit sensitive and was gagging so much, poor kid. I think that Jake might have some sort of sensitivity disorder which is linked to ADHD which explains a lot. Jake still had a great time but he says that animals smell so gross especially the pig as we got to it and it decided to do it's business right in front of us. The kids were laughing so hard, I love them!

After we finished up at the farm we put our Aquarium pass to good use and went over to see some of the animals and play on their fun big playground. Jake was having a hard day and when we went to go see the penguins he was gagging again because we happened to get there at a feeding time so they were out and Jake wanted NOTHING to do with that haha, poor kid I do feel bad. We decided to take this time to go see the new Asian portion we haven't been too before and the kids loved watching the otters swim around, they were so active (the animals and the kids haha).

When we were done playing to our hearts content Mom decided to do something special to end our day with and we went to Coldstone. Coldstone has such a special place in my heart since Zach and I went there a few times while dating, it's delicious. Andie, Jake and Brooklyn all thought picking there own ice cream was the best thing ever and they could even pick something to put on it. Jake was in pure heaven and ate his, half of Moms, half of Dads and finished off Brooklyn's too. Yum, Yum Ice Cream!

Family days are the best days!
