Dad Turns 29, Last Year In His Twenties

Daddy had his birthday, last one in his twenties! How in the world did we get so old? We knew Daddys birthday would be landing on a Sunday so we couldn't do our normal birthday celebration activities plus Mom would have to try to nap sometime during the day. We had a little activity time a couple days before his birthday by going to Golden Corral for dinner and Boondocks for some golf and playground fun.

During the mini golf (it was the kids first time) we had so much fun. During one of the holes it kept eating our golf balls and we kept having to go back to the desk asking for more balls until they came and fixed it. Yes we have really bad luck! All the kids loved mini golfing so much we will be going back to do that again soon. Brooklyn called the club her sword, it was the cutest thing when Brooklyn would hold out her club and state, "Mom can you hold my sword" in the cutest serious voice ever. Jake was having the time of his life just having freedom on the range and doing his best to get the ball in the hole no matter what it came too. Andie really loved golfing and in fact wants to do it again for her birthday in a couple of weeks.

At the end of the golf course there was the last hole and if you got a hole in one then fire would come out of the volcano. When we got close to the end of the hole and a group ahead of us made a few hole in ones I am pretty sure it scared the kids half to death. Jake jumped back and ran for his life thinking the world was going to end. Brooklyn ran for her life too but straight for Mom and Dads arms and wouldn't let us put her down again until we were safe inside a building. I think it scared Andie but she acted more cool about it. I wish I would of caught there reactions on video haha.

After our golfing adventure we played on the playground. Andie & Jake loved the playground and played for a couple hours. Brooklyn played but easily was bored and wanted to explore the other arcade games. When you are two years old you don't need to spend money on those games to have fun. After we played all the games Brooklyn then wanted to go to the van. Mom and Brooklyn waited for the other kids to finish on the playground by singing the Wheels on the Bus while driving around the parking in our shades. Gosh I love this spunky girl of mine!

On Daddies real birthday we woke up to our traditional birthday wall. We did a Harry Potter theme since Mom and Dad are going on a couples trip to see Harry Potter Land in Universal Studios. It was a perfect little Daddy birthday. Each of the kids went to the Dollar Tree and picked out one present for Dad. Andie picked out glowsticks, Jake picked out a poop cup, Brooklyn picked out some confetti bombs and of course Mom had to pick something too so bone pens it was. I think Daddy loved his presents, we done good kiddos (they even all helped decorate).

After presents just like usual we had our donut pile breakfast. I love that with birthdays we start the mornings singing, "Happy Birthday" and of course the evenings too. I am so happy we got to have this celebration of our very own Zach, we love this guy! The rest of the day we just played some presents, took a nap and enjoyed our time together before both Mom and Dad had to go off to work, oh to be an adult trying to make bills. Happy Birthday Daddy!
