February Date Night

Our February date was a little different then what we had planned. We wanted to make it to the temple but time was cut short.

Zachary and I ran lots of errands. Jake's birthday party is next weekend so we had to gather all his birthday decorations and presents.

We then went to two different DI's and gathered lots of black frames. Yes we are cheap and getting used frames for our home but no one will know (unless you actually read my blog). We have been working on our home making it feel more homey (is that a word?).

Our stomachs finally needed some food in them so we went to Fazolis. We used to always go to this place when dating, delicious.

We ran a few other errands including grocery shopping. I was so surprised how much you can do in one day without two little kids slowing you down. It was so much fun spending this time with my hubby :)

Taylor Lynn's Birthday

Taylor Lynn turned three years old today. I imagine how she would look at three years old and the things she would be talking about. How long would her hair be? Would her laugh still be so contagious? Would she be obsessed with princesses, like her cousin Andie? What would a smile full of sparkly whites really look on her, I'm sure gorgeous! I miss our Taylor Lynn and think of her daily. I was so happy we were able to spend this day with Taylor eating cupcakes and sending her some birthday balloons. We love you Taylor and can't wait to see you once again :)

Sick Kiddos

Andie and Jake both gave Mommy a little scare. On Wednesday afternoon just before I was about to leave work my mom called me up stating the little ones had temperatures. I called over to the pediatrician and they were able to fit them in first thing Thursday morning.

I didn't go into work the next day but rather took my sick kiddos to the doctor and pharmacy. Jake and Andie were so sick, Jake had it worse but Andie got worse before getting better.

I never saw Jake so lifeless before as he laid miserably on his Mommy all day. Sore throats (strep), majorly bad earaches, a congested cough and a high fever for them both. The kiddos were started up on antibiotics.

Jake and Andie did so good with taking their medicine (for the most part) they got sick of it after a bit and went through phases wanting it and not wanting anything to do with it. I am so glad they are both feeling back to their energetic self now.

I love my Andie and Jake, don't get sick again!

Jake 11 Months

Jake Oliver, my baby boy, is 11 months old. The joyful/dreadful day of his birthday is just weeks away. Jake is such a joy to be able to raise, his sweet smile and laughter fills my heart. I love Jake with all my heart and it's crazy to know its been almost a year with him in our lives. Can you tell I'm a bit emotional of my Jake growing up? Jake at 11 months old...

1. Jake loves baths! Basically anything water Jake must splash around. Jake is our little bath lover, constantly trying to climb into the shower and play with his bath toys. Splashing is the best!

2. Jake loves his big sister Andie. Jake and Andie have such a special love hate relationship, like most siblings. They will be playing and hugging one minute then yelling and biting the next, joys of siblings. Jake is learning how to fight for himself though so Andie watch out ;)

3. Jake hates cotton candy, it's so funny! I don't know if it's the texture or the melt in your mouth feeling, but Jake hates it.

4. Jake is deathly afraid of animals, especially dogs & cats (those are the ones he sees). Jake & Andie started going to a new babysitter who has pets. Jake will sit helplessly as the animals casually walk by. My poor boy takes after his mother (and sister) with the fear of animals.

5. Jake loves to dance to music. I have mentioned this before, he is my little DJ. Jake will rock back and forth to any beat of music or sound. So cute watching my little dude rocking out.

6. Jake has discovered to toilet, no fun! Jake loves water and splashing so therefore a bowl of water how could he not love it. Its disgusting but he doesn't know any better, thank goodness for child lock doors.

7. Jake loves sitting on the couch with the family. Jake will sit up on the couch thinking he is one of the big guys. It is so cute as he watches us and wants to be involved in everything we do, even as simple as sitting on the couch.

8. Jake loves the wagon. Jake and Andie got a wagon that we can take to Disneyland when we go. Jake loves to just sit in the wagon even if its just sitting in the middle of the living room.

9. Jake is my little people watcher. When we go to the zoo Jake seems to be more interested in watching the people walk by then he does the animals in the cages. Jake is such a funny little one who can sit for hours just watching.

10. Jake can stand by himself for like 2 seconds. Jake is getting to be such a big boy with standing already, walking will be here before we know it.

I love my Jake Oliver and the smiles he brings to my life. Jake is such a handsome little man you can't help love! Jake you are so amazing inside and out. I love you my boy!
