Jake 7 Months

Jake is growing so fast. I blinked and all of the sudden, in a flash, he is already 7 months old! I am still trying to figure out where the time went. Jake at 7 months old...

1. Jake loves food. If given they choice Jake would stop bottles right this minute and just eat food. Jake gets so frustrated when he sees any of us eat. He has tried a few different foods like juice and bananas, rice and potatoes, etc. Jake hasn't found anything he dislikes, besides peaches like Daddy!

2. Jake seems to be a right handed man. Andie always preferred her left hand but Jake is always trying to use the right hand. It's crazy how early on you can detect such small things :)

3. Jake was sick for the first time this last month. He makes being sick look easy and didn't seem to complain much. It may have been because I felt like crap so I made Jake stay on top of his meds. It's hard seeing your kids sick even if he is a tough little man!

4. Jake gets on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth, no crawling yet though. Jake wants to be on the move so badly. We have been doing a lot of floor time to hopefully get him to take off soon (he won't let me take a picture of him while being on his hands and knees).

5. Jake loves to drive. Jake will sit in the car for hours just standing and sitting, sliding back and forth plus spinning the wheel. I'm sure Jake would live in the car if we would let him!

6. Jakes favorite toys are his keys and his monkey, what more does a boy need? He is such a happy little boy :)

7. Jake is interested in electronics. If Jakes sees us on our phones or the computer, or Andie watching TV or on her IPad Jake has to watch so intently. He can already turn my flashlight on on my phone. Smart kid!

8. Jake celebrated his first Thanksgiving and met his cousin Bentley. It's crazy that he already has 3 younger cousins, how fun all these boys will have together at family events in the future!

9. Jake weighs 17 pounds and 13 ounces. He is 25 inches still and is getting bigger and bigger everyday (he is still at 50% compared to other boys his age). He wears size 2 diapers (but we will be moving up to size 3 soon) and he wears size 6-12 months clothes. Jake eats 6oz every 4 hours throughout the day and sleeps from 9pm-6am every night plus sometimes after a bottle he will sleep for a few more hours.

It's crazy how big my little boy is getting. I can't believe my baby is already 7 months old. I love my Jake Oliver so much and watching him grow into the handsome young man he is brings me so much joy. Life is speeding by but as long as I get to watch my son grow that's okay with me :)

Canadian Thanksgiving

I love celebrating Thanksgiving with my family! My special fruit salad, meeting new additions to the family and creating even more great memories PLUS did I forget to mention the delicious food :) I love my family!

Family Time at the Zoo

We had a Saturday off together, as a family, on October 11th. It wasn't easy and Zach had to ask the day off (at one of his jobs) but it was so worth it! We started out the day waiting for Daddy to get home from work while I did some blogging and picture organizing on the computer.

Next it was my turn to go to work and finish up some last minute things for some of the night studies at two different locations. Zach took the kids to the mall while I worked away for a couple of hours.

Finally we were off to the zoo. We passed a dog strapped to a board on a motorcycle, that was interesting! What a fun way to start our adventure for the day.

We met up with Audrey and Trent at the zoo and had a good time looking around at the animals. The giraffes were actually out and about in the savanna (however you spell it).

After a few hours of exploring the zoo we headed over to Wingers, I love their salads. It was such a fun day spending time together as a family :)
