New Years Eve

Can you believe it's going to be 2016? I'm completely shocked! New Years Eve we only have one tradition so far as a family and I think it's a pretty grand one, pizza!

This year we went over to my parents house and helped them take down the Christmas decorations while waiting for Zach to get off work. Andie and Jake loved being able to take the ornaments off a tree without getting in trouble!

When Zach was off he went and grabbed our famous giant pizza we eat each year, delicious. This is the best tradition because it makes you want to start the new year eating healthy ;)

The rest of the evening was spent playing board games as a family, munching on snacks and watching a countdown on Netflix, by 10:30pm, so we could all go to bed. It was such a fun celebration and I can't wait to create more traditions as we bring in the New Years to come.

Zoo Lights

I think we happened to pick the coldest night out of December to go and see the zoo lights. We were sitting at home when Andie stated that she wanted to go to the monkey store. Of course we jumped at the opportunity to get out of our basement for a bit not realizing how chilly it truly was.

Andie and Jake completely enjoyed the lights even if we froze to death. Brooklyn was all bundled up sleeping away and I am sure thought her family was crazy to take her out in this weather as a newborn but she was a trooper and made it through without catching a cold.

Next year maybe we should go right when the zoo lights open up to maybe enjoy it a little better, but we still had so much fun. I love the tradition of going to the zoo and seeing the lights each December with our growing little family!

Brooklyn's Blessing

We had a special gathering the Sunday right after Christmas to celebrate our littlest girl.

Brooklyn had her baby blessing given to her by her Daddy. It was an amazing blessing that gave Brooklyn so many promises and blessings.

Brooklyn was also given her name down for church records as Brooklyn Riley Wadsworth. I love this little girl of mine. Brooklyn has changed my world completely and I never want to experience life with out this precious little girl I have been blessed to have.

It was so fun to be able to get together with family and celebrate one last time before the Christmas season has come to a close. Now we must hurry to next Christmas because it's my favorite :)

Christmas 2015 Part 2

Christmas morning is always so exciting! As a child you can't contain your excitement to go and see what Santa brought you, but as a parent you are so excited to just watch your children's faces light up with the excitement of what Santa brought them. Its a joyous morning for sure! Andie and Jake did not disappoint this year either.

We usually do a big Christmas breakfast before we open presents but we were a little short on time considering the kids slept in until almost 10am and we had to be to my parents house by noon to talk to my brother who is out serving a mission. The kids went right away digging through their stockings. In the toe of the stocking Santa left a piece of paper letting everyone know what wrapping paper was theirs to open.

Andie LOVED opening presents, she dove right into the fun! Jake wasn't to worried about unwrapping but the paper Andie pulled off her presents was very fun to play in. Jake walked around playing with old and new toys while drinking juice and eating some stocking snacks. He is a very chill kid easy to please.

Andie was so excited about all the gifts she got and was very spoiled but I would want Christmas no other way for her. Jake was spoiled as well and of course his favorite toys were Baymax Big Hero 6 ones. The excitement when Jake held his Baymax for the first time is ingrained in my head, INDESCRIBABLE! Andie loved all her presents from her carriage, to her socks and palace pets. Gosh I love my kids!

Jake wasn't to interested in opening the remaining of his presents so Andie gladly went to work opening his presents, to being excited for what he got and by showing him each gift. The relationship these two have is such a special bond.

Brooklyn was unable to open presents so she had her big sister to help her out too. Brooklyn I am sure will enjoy all her Christmas presents once she is older but for now at least I can dress her in cute pajamas and wrap her in her cute blanket :)

We have a tradition each year to have one shared gift for all the kids. Andie and Jake were not disappointed by any means as they got a new playhouse to play in! This year Zach and I were trying to expand our game collection so we were a little more spoiled then usual.

Zachary and I, had Andie help open our presents too. Andie was in unwrapping heaven (is there such a thing?)! We got new towels, games and some exercising equipment since that is our main focus this next year (to lose weight).

Christmas did not disappoint this year. We had so many gifts and feel so spoiled. We got to talk to my brother whom is serving, spend time with family members from out of town and went to my grandparents house as well for a small visit. Oh how fun Christmas really is for us when we have family and loved ones to celebrate this glorious occasion with! It was also Zachary's and my 9 year anniversary of being officially together, Merry Christmas :)
