April Sunday

I love Sundays and the family time they bring. Our Sunday was spent watching Hell's Kitchen and watching Andie dance :) I would call it a perfect Sunday!

Hogle Zoo

I had planned to go the the zoo on April 20th over a month ago. The prices for summer go up starting May 1st. I am cheap and wanted to go before that price change. Zachary and I were excited all week to take Andie to the zoo to see all the animals. When Friday came around and it was rainy and we saw that it would be rainy on Saturday to, we were a little bummed out. Rain didn't stop us from having our fun family day though. We headed out Friday morning/afternoonish for our fun filled day.

We first stopped for breakfast/lunch at Taco Bell. We had to try the new famous Dorito Taco things to see what all the hype was about. I liked the cool ranch one better, but Zachary said they were both good. Andie loved the cinnamon twists, she must take after her mother!

Next stop was the zoo. We were so anxious and excited! It poured rain off and on the whole time but that didn't stop Andie from loving the animals and the ride in the stroller. We had so much fun watching all the animals! This was the first time Andie has been to the zoo and the first time Zachary and I have been together to the zoo. It was such a fun time for all of us!

After the zoo we started to think about our Disneyland trip coming up. We headed over to the Disney store downtown to look at all the fun toys they had. I know we are such kids at heart! We are excited to plan Andie's Minnie Mouse Birthday Party too and loved all the Minnie Mouse ideas we got from the store. Andie slept the whole time, the zoo made her exhausted.

After the Disney store look around we decided it was time for dinner. We went to Chuck-A-Rama and ate our fair share of food. It was Italian night and I love my Italian food. We have discovered that Andie loves jello. She ate pizza and jello and loved every bite!

After all our fun adventures we headed home and cuddled up on the couch as a family. We looked at all the pictures we had taken that day and watched Wreck it Ralph. It is such a cute funny movie, I will recommend it to anyone! I love our family fun days :)

Teen Mom

I went to the park with Andie.

I was asked if I was a Teen Mom.

I was asked by 3 different people.

I must look young.

I have no problem with Teen Moms.

I watch Teen Mom/Teen Mom 2.

I had a fun time at the park.

I think Andie had fun at the park.

General Conference

General Conference was so amazing this year, like every year! To me it went by so fast. I enjoyed being able to cuddle up on my couch with Zachary and Andie and watch the words of our prophets together. I went into Conference with a list of questions. Most of the questions consisted of just how to be a better wife and mother to my husband and beautiful daughter. I enjoyed Conference weekend and can't wait for the magazines to read the talks and mark them up! I am so grateful we get to listen to Conference, what a privilege that is for us today!

I am trying to do better the next six months by :

1. Remembering to always have a prayer in my heart throughout the whole day.

2. Go to the temple at least once a month.

3. Write to our missionaries more often.

4. Be more open about the gospel. Let people know I am proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

5. Make family time a priority - Zachary and I planned a fun weekend every other week.

6. Don't be lazy, prioritize (Zachary and I were talking about this, I will write a whole blog post on lazy people - everyone is lazy)

7. Read daily scriptures as a family.

8. Take more pictures to save our memories together.

9. Make a 5 year plan of all our goals.

10. Be happy and enjoy my life!

Andie 10 Months

Andie is 10 months old and I can't believe it. I have been her mother in this world for 10 months but it feels like I have just begun. I have the sweetest girl of all time and am so proud to call her mine for eternity along with my amazing husband! Andie at 10 months old...

1. Andie is a crawler now but still prefers to scoot around. It is more like an army crawl then a scoot, she can speed along the ground.

2. Andie would rather feed herself then have me feed her. We have been getting stains all over her clothes because of her attempts so many times to feed herself. She does love pasta just like her mother!

3. Andie loves to go on walks. She would rather spend all day outside rain, snow or shine. She loves the outdoors more and more. We bought her, her first little pairs of shoes now that she would rather go outside then sit inside with her toys.

4. Andie stands up and walks along things by herself. She is starting to turn into a dare devil and thinks she may be able to reach something else to hold onto and keep walking this has made quite a few falls. She is scared of falling and is pretty good at catching herself before hitting the ground to hard.

5. Andie celebrated her first Easter and looked oh so cute in her little dress. We got the dress with her blessing dress because of the deal they were having way back when she was just a month old. It worked out perfectly for a pretty Easter dress.

6. Andie has always been super energetic but this last month she has gone insane. She is active and getting into trouble every hour she is awake. She gets really crazy when she is extra tired, just like her mom. There is no stopping this hyper girl, we are in for some trouble.

7. Andie understands more and more every day. If we say "no" or to "come here" she will do the small things. Its like a light switch goes on one day and they understand so much. She says "Dad" "Mom" and "Baba" for bottle. She will answer "Yeah" if you ask her a question too.

8. Andie has started sitting by herself in carts, and loves the attention she can get from all the customers while walking around in stores. She will wave and give high fives. She will try for hours to put her shoes on by herself and will clean them with wipes. She is learning so much!

I love my little girl and it amazes me to watch her learn and grow. She is so smart! She is very active and tires me out by the end of everyday but I wouldn't change that for the world. She is my little girl and I am so proud of her. I love my Andie Noelle :)

Easter 2013

Easter is always such a fun holiday. Its a time we get to remember our Savior and all that he has done for us. Its a time we get to spend together as a family making new memories. Its a time we get to celebrate our lives. Its a time we get to go to the house of the Lord and learn of him. Its a time we get to make more traditions.

I love being able to make my own family traditions. Andie had her first Easter this year! When children are this little they can't really run around and look for easter eggs or really understand the atonement that you are teaching them at this time of year. I had to do something special to celebrate her first Easter and there is no better way then my amazing, non skillful photo shoots!

After the photo shoot we had to head over to Grandpa and Grandma Redds (my parents) house for an easter egg hunt and easter dinner. It was so nice to be able to have the whole family together. Of course we were missing a few very important people like Melissa, Dallin and Kari but none the less it was just as fun! Andie enjoyed the search part out for the easter eggs.

Easter is such a special time of year to be able to celebrate our Saviors life. I am so happy for all that he has done for us and continues to do for me and my family. We have been blessed in so many ways and the blessings keep pouring down upon us. I love our Savior Jesus Christ!

Family Time

We haven't made date night important it seems, ever since Andie was born. Date night is so important though. We have decided to try to do better at that and the best way to start was to go on a fun date even if Andie was to be drug along with us. I don't think she was drug along to much though because she enjoyed her time just as much as we did.

We first started out the day with some French toast that I made. It was a historical moment in time for this was my first time ever making them. We then headed out to Ikea to get a computer desk. We have been married over two and a half years but just barely got our first computer desk. I was so excited once we smashed the boxes in the car :) Our computer will now have a home off the kitchen table.

Next stop was Boondocks. The last time Zachary and I went to boondocks was before his mission! That was in 2008 like 5 whole years ago. It was nice to remember our good old times and see who will win at mini golf this time. Our skills are not very good! Zach won by 6 points but I was the only one who got a hole in one, that caused for some more celebration though :)

We headed over to Olive Garden, where we ate on our first date. We had some delicious food and an amazing waiter. The waiter and whole entire staff loved Andie, she can steal everyones heart. She got free grapes which she loved and we got a mountain pile of those yummy mints they give you. We had so much fun enjoying our meal time together!

After dinner we were stuffed and decided a family walk was in order. We headed over to Daybreak and walked around there pond. We witnessed a proposal that was super cute, and made us talk about our own proposal way back in 2008. We had a fun filled day and I can't wait to go on more family outings/date nights. If you haven't gone out as a couple in awhile I highly recommend it!

St Patricks Day

Pinterest has set some high standards for all holidays. I do enjoy quite a few of there ideas but when it comes to smaller holidays they don't need to go all out. Of course I like to celebrate and make life fun so there must be a balance in all things.

We all wore green and had a birthday celebration so not much was done for St. Patricks Day. We had Lucky Charms for breakfast with of course a little more unhealthy special treat.

We also made some green milkshakes to end off our night. I love spending time as a family, so weekends are my favorite. Making holiday traditions are so much fun to do when you are in your own little family.

Red Robin

Zacharys Mom was in town which meant we must have dinner. We never get to see Audrey around much anymore because of her traveling jobs she has been doing. We had so much fun getting to see her, Trent, Nanny Goat and her youngest, Randy and Tyler with his family. There was a crowd and we were a very loud bunch. It was nice to meet together and catch up on everyones lives. It was the first time we have seen Bayleigh, who is just younger then Andie. The night was a complete with some good food at Red Robin with good company!
