Four Years Home

Four years, two whole missions, that is how long ago my husband returned home from his mission to Washington Kennewick. How crazy? I counted down to August of 2010 for so long and I honestly believed it would never arrive BUT here we are August of 2014, 4 years later.

I have written about our last date together which was back on August 19th of 2008 here
I have written about Zachs return home story on August 24th of 2010 here
I wrote about where we were 2 years after Zach returned home from his mission in 2012 here
Now I will continue how I ended off 2012's post. I stated "Now just think where we will be in another two years". Well here you go our main events over the last two years...

Disneyland twice (2012 & 2013).

Celebrated Holidays - Halloween, Christmas and Easter (2012 & 2013).

Zach started College, working at Uhaul and got his CNA plus works at Premier too.

Started Family Days as often as we can squeeze them in.

My niece passed away : Taylor Lynn Landrum 02.21.2012 - 05.17.2013.

Andie had her 1st & 2nd Birthday.

I started working at LDS Hospital in the Sleep Center and got my first bee sting (its a life event for me haha).

Pregnant with Jake.

We got rid of our old broken car and got a new one, fireball.

Jake Oliver Wadsworth our 2nd baby arrived.

Date Nights became a monthly event with no children tagging along.

We got family photos taken, for the first (and second) time ever.

Now where will we be in another two years? Any guesses?

Emmalee's Birthday

My youngest sister turned 17 years old. Watching her is like watching my life. Is it mean of me to say that I am so happy I am not in her shoes right now (I have been there, done that, and it sucks). She had her last birthday before her boyfriend leaves on his mission.

Oh the memories that floods back to my 17th birthday. I love you Emmalee. Stay strong you got this!

We had the usual fun dinner, cake and presents at my parents house. It's always fun getting together. Happy Birthday Emma :)

Jake 5 Months

Little man Jake is 5 months old. His personality shines through more everyday. He is the quite shy one that laughs at everything, you know those people (kind of like his mother, unit you know me then I won't shut up). His smile is the best and eyes take your breath away. He is the handsomest little dude. At 5 months old Jake is...

1. Jake is rolling over. Jake can roll onto his stomach and then he gets stuck and he hates it. You can only stand tummy time for so long. It's so funny watching him struggle (I know I am mean). Don't babies usually learn to roll from stomach to back first? My little boy is a smart one!

2. Jake loves Andie. Jake watches his sister like a hawk. He laughs at her, smiles at her and plays with her. Jake loves her hugs and kisses from his sister and just her whole being. I love watching my children interact.

3. Jake has tried rice cereal and has mixed emotions about it. Jake loves the real food experience. He watches us eat with such curious eyes and was so excited to try some food. He couldn't handle the rice cereal in his belly and was up for hours throwing up. Poor guy! We will give it a few weeks and try something else.

4. Jake hates the jumper. You know the jumpers you put in doorways and lots of babies love them? Yeah Jake hates it. It could be the fact the Andie will spin him whenever she sees him in it or that he is not a fan of being left in a doorway but it is definitely not his favorite.

5. Jake has a new cousin. He actually has two new cousins but I didn't state that in his last month post that he already had one. Hunter and Michael will be his buddies at family events, to bad they both live in different states now. Jake did see Michael and it made me realize how much he has grown since being born (they weighed about the same at birth). My baby is getting so big!

6. Jake can hold his bottle by himself but prefers not to. If Jake has to hold his own bottle I don't get my cuddle time with him and that's not fun. So yes I assume Jake and I would both rather have Mommy hold it.

7. Jake is our little thumb sucker. Jake prefers his thumb over a binky. How are you suppose to break a thumb sucking habit, you can't chop off or throw away a thumb like you can a binky? Oh the challenges my boy puts me through.

8. Jake hates getting his nose wiped. We discovered this when he was eating rice cereal and got some on his nose. We wiped it and he freaked out frantically shacking his head and crying. I didn't know getting your nose wiped was so traumatic. Silly guy, he better not ever get a runny nose!

Jake is such a funny loving guy. Everything this boy does I love him even more. Jake is perfect in every way possible. I am so blessed to call this little man mine forever!

Ogden Temple Openhouse

When I heard about tickets for the Ogden Temple Open house would be coming available soon I was so excited. I love the Temples so much, going through with my kids and showing them the beauty of the inside (not just the outside) is a dream come true! I anxiously awaited to get my families tickets.

On August 12th we made our way to Ogden for a 1:15pm walk through time. We went through the temple with my side of the family. It was fun to walk through and feel the spirit and look at the beauty of our Lords home. It will be fun to go back and do a session once it's dedicated. I love going to the Temples!

We were starving when we finished up at the temple so we headed over to Chick-Fil-A. It's the first time we have actually tried it and it's not to bad, I love that the calories were written right there on the menu. We will be going back there again! Andie even enjoyed the toddler playground and made 2 little friends there.

It was such a fun day spent with the family enjoying our beautiful Temples!
