Jake 2 Years 10 Months

Jake Oliver my little boy you will be three in the blink of an eye and I can't wait to spoil you but I also have such mixed emotions for your upcoming birthday because this means you are to the potty training and preschool age. How are you that big already? Jake at 2 years and 10 months old...

1. Jake takes cheesy pictures. Jake is too the point that Mom was getting frustrated with taking pictures because he would never make any expression so we discovered if you say "Show your teeth" we get the cutest cheesiest pictures ever. I love them!

2. Jake celebrated Christmas. Jake was so excited to get McQueen toys and was just so excited that he could make such a mess with all the wrapping paper. Jake did so much better with unwrapping presents and enjoyed it more then I thought he would, he always gives me such a surprise.

3. Jake loves playing in snow. Jake is one that always says he is cold "freezing" as he calls it. Christmas Day we took advantage of the snow and bundled up to finally play in the snow as a family and Jake was in heaven eating and enjoying every moment of it. Watching Mom and Dad fall in the snow was probably his favorites. He has also loved shoveling all this snow with Daddy.

4. Jake is opening up out of his shell more. Jake had such stranger danger so early on and I would constantly ask the pediatrician if this was normal because it was just so abnormal that every single person he would shrivel up in fear. Jake is breaking that shell slowly and starting to give people a chance of his trust and it is the cutest thing to watch as he breaks away just a little bit more and enjoy all the people around him.

5. Jake still loves Gatorade. Jake his this new fun fascination that he does with his Gatorade now and it is not very thrilling for Mom and Dad. Jake thinks its fun to spit his Gatorade and any other drink out and down his shirt, what you don't like to bathe in your drinks? Jake is so silly!

6. Jake is loving his remote control car. Jake is a boy round and round. His cars, his jokes, his crazy fun personality and of course his love for remote control cars too. We got this car for Christmas that just keeps flipping if it gets stuck so it will always be moving. Jake has enjoyed chasing it around and watching it flip, looking it in cupboards to watch it jump out at him etc. I love this boy!

7. Jake loved New Years Eve. We have a tradition of eating a giant pizza for New Years Eve and Jake thought it was the coolest thing ever. Jake was in heaven and he got to try and stay up late while watching TV so of course he celebrated the New Year with a bang for sure!

Jake my boy you truly are so loved. Your sweet spunky personality has me wrapped around your tiny perfect little finger. Jake you have so much joy for life, you know what you want and you know exactly what to do to get where you want. Jake you have a love for life that i look forward too, I love you so much my boy, so much!

Brooklyn 1 Year 2 Months

Brooklyn Riley your making it into your second year of life so quickly, two months already. Brooklyn you really have made our life better by arriving when you did, such a perfect little sister! Brooklyn at 1 year 2 months old...

1. Brooklyn is a climber. Brooklyn has learned to pick up everything so much quicker then her siblings because she is watching them in their every move. Brooklyn's newest obsession is climbing on the fireplace, couches, chairs, stairs, steps, etc. Anything you can climb this girl is right there attempting her best to get up it. Scares me to death!

2. Brooklyn went to Zoo Lights. Brooklyn enjoyed the lights even if it was freezing cold. We had baby girl wrapped up so good in blankets, gloves, hats, anything we could get on her. Brooklyn loves watching the lights so it was a perfect night.

3. Brooklyn has had lots of fussy nights. Brooklyn had ear aches (assuming) and teething combined so she was pretty miserable. Brooklyn basically forgot what it was like to sleep and it made Mom and Dad a little more stressed as we struggled with no sleep but we also can't help but love the extra cuddles she is willing to give, she is our least cuddly baby.

4. Brooklyn loves her food. No food is safe around baby girl as she loves to eat. Brooklyn doesn't have any food still to this day that she doesn't like. This girl is definitely related to her mother when it comes to food, if it's around we will eat it haha.

5. Brooklyn celebrated her second Christmas. Brooklyn I think had a great Christmas but the no nap that day with all the events of presents, playing in snow and visiting family put her over the edge a bit as she was EXHAUSTED.

6. Brooklyn is a walker. I don't know if I had mention this previously but this girl is official off and running with her siblings. It is so cute to have all the siblings run around together with each other and Brooklyn is LOVING IT!

7. Brooklyn has a favorite princess. Brooklyn has choose a favorite princess or I guess character you could say besides the Tsum Tsums she has been obsessed with. New love is Princess Elsa. Brooklyn lights up whenever she sees anything Elsa related and even for Christmas siblings gifts and everything she has gotten Elsa obsessed.

8. Brooklyn hates things on her head. I bought so much headbands as I was so excited to have another girl hoping I could dress her up all the time. Brooklyn came in though and she isn't a fan of things on her head : glasses, hats, headbands, etc. Brooklyn hates it all!

9. Brooklyn loves snow. Brooklyn had a blast playing in the snow even if she was bundled up and freezing. Brooklyn ate mouthfuls of snow as quickly as she could and it was the cutest thing ever. I love my snow loving princess.

Brooklyn Riley literally is my perfect little princess with the sweetest little personality and she has a heart of gold. She can get down and dirt with her brother but also be crafty and girly with her sister. Brooklyn is literally a perfect little sibling and we love that girl SO DANG MUCH!

Andie 4 Years 7 Months

Andie Noelle your another month old and each month I look back on these month posts thinking how amazing it would be to have these in my life. I hope you look at these month posts as a blessing. You are a blessing in my life and I am so proud of you and all of your accomplishments in your life thus far. Andie at 4 years 7 months...

1. Andie swallowed a penny. Andie came up to me and just uncontrollably started to cry. I couldn't tell if she was hurt, wanted something or just felt like crying. I was worried and everything I did wouldn't comfort her. I finally took Andie to her bed and sat their cuddling with her. Once she finally calmed down she told me she had swallowed a penny. What do you do with that information? I called the pediatrician and he basically said if she can handle eating and drinking and there is no pain we can dig for gold. Oh the joys! There was no problems so we just figured it would pass on it's own. Andie learned not to swallow a penny again!

2. Andie knows all the sounds to letters. Andie has learned so much in preschool, she literally is like a sponge and has been able to learn all her letters, sounds and can write and recognize them all. She can count to basically 50 and is constantly writing her letters, adding and wanting to play school games. I love Andie's ambition to learn!

3. Andie got a hair cut....at school! In preschool they started teaching the students how to use scissors. With this new learning experiment some of the girls tested on each others hair. Andie got some shorter sidebands from her friend and Mom was pretty dang upset, it will grow out though right?

4. Andie was in her first primary program. I remember being up on the stage in Primary and being so nervous to sing in front of my parents hoping maybe they will see me. Now the rolls are reversed and I watched my little princess stand up on the stage (with her dress up basically the whole time haha we kept telling her to pull it down) and my heart was exploding with pride. I love you my Andie!

5. Andie is in this stage of closing her eyes in pictures. Andie says that she thinks it looks pretty when she closes her eyes and it drives me insane because I want to see her gorgeous blues. Andie has also started telling people that she is shy. It is the cutest thing! Andie is very shy until she is comfortable and then she comes out of her bubble, that is exactly like her Momma.

6. Andie loved Zoo Lights. Andie is starting to understand we have traditions that we do each year, Zoo Lights is one of those we do every Christmas time. Andie loves seeing the lights and the animals, plus the temple Lights are a hit as well.

7. Andie celebrated another Christmas and she looked forward to this Christmas SO MUCH! Andie was so excited to tell her siblings that Santa would bring them lots of presents and they would be full of awesome toys. She kept telling Jake he would get McQueens and Brooklyn would get Tsum Tsums. Andie just wanted Santa to bring her anything and everything. Each time we walked around a store she would close her eyes and point and say Mom I want this for Christmas haha it was the cutest thing. I don't think Andie was disappointed at all come Christmas morning!

8. Andie was asked what do Mom and Dad say all the time? Her answer was the best ever. "Be Good and Be Normal" hahaha yes I didn't realize but this is exactly what Mom and Dad say to all the kids every single day when they are fighting or doing something bad or crazy. I love my kiddos.

Andie you make me more perfect everyday. You bring me so much joy, you have me reevaluate my life to make sure I am on the right path. You have blessed our lives from the moment we held you in our arms and each day we know is such a blessing to learn from you.

Year in Review 2016

I always love looking back at my year in review posts to see everything that has just happened in the year prior. In 2016 was no different and we had a few highlights happen, here is our main sixteen from sixteen (get it)...

1. We were getting a hang of the three children life, it was a handful but a blessing.

2. I had some health struggles (arthritis and headaches) and of course we got hit a few times throughout the year with nasty colds, ear infections and coughing episodes. The kids handled the sicknesses like a champ.

3. We bought a new to us van, we love our O'Malley Junior. He has been such a great addition to us, even when we had to pay for a whole new transmission after having him just a couple of months.

4. Jake celebrated our traditional second birthday at the aquarium. Jake also loved his Baymax birthday and the decorations Mom and Dad attempted to make with no templates haha.

5. We made it on our yearly Disneyland trip! Jake discovered how amazing Cars Land was and then created the start of his McQueen love.

6. Andie had her birthday turning four years old! She had a Jessie from Toy Story theme because Disneyland created this obsession when she met the characters and got a Jessie doll of her very own for her souvenir.

7. We started doing regular family home evenings again, it was hard to get back in the habit after being broken for so long I don't suggest that to anyone.

8. Andie started Preschool (and sunbeams this year).

9. We celebrated six years of marriage!

10. Halloween was fun as Andie being a witch, Jake being Jake from the Neverland Pirates and Brooklyn being a little black cat for her first Halloween.

11. Brooklyn Riley turned one!

12. Jake got stitches, the first of any of our children to get them.

13. We found out we were pregnant with another little Wadsworth but that only lasted 2-3 months before we lost our special baby to a miscarriage.

14. My brother Jordan got married to his long time girlfriend (she also waited for him while he served his mission).

15. Zachary lost his job and we knew we would have to move into the parents basement as we got back on our feet. Zachary also applied for the Rad Tech program with Weber.

16. Snowy Christmas Day was a dream come true and the kiddos didn't disappoint with their excitement from the arrival of Santa with their presents.

I am so excited to see what 2017 brings our growing family!

New Years Eve

It's New Years Eve and I can't believe that it is going to be a New Year already. I love fresh new starts as the New Year rolls in, this year is no different especially after the crappy last couple weeks we have had. The year in 2017 I am making me the focus. How can I be the best mother and wife I strive to be without placing myself first at times. Here is to 2017, our traditional giant pizza, going to bed early with a YouTube countdown and our visions of what the next year will bring. I hope it's grand
