Christmas 2015 Part 1

Christmas is always so much fun when you have so many events to go to and fill our time. Its always fun to see family and friends to catch up with and make new memories. This year didn't fail us either. We started out the celebrations the beginning of December really by doing a countdown to Christmas with the kiddos. We did some crafts or an activity daily, Andie and Jake loved it!

On December 20th we had our first family Christmas party at Zachary's Dads house. It was fun to be able to get together with his family as it seems to be difficult in every ones busy lives, ours included. I didn't take pictures except for one (sad day). We had our regular dinner, white elephant gift exchange and a gift exchange for the kids. It was nice to be a little more relaxed with gifts this year and just watch the kids love there gifts and watch their joy. Andie got a my little pony book, which she LOVES, and a Minnie bath toy with a bracelet. Jake got a flashlight, which he LOVES, and a dinosaur book which makes noise so of course it would win his heart too.

Christmas Eve rolled around and we went to my parents house to celebrate. We did the annual nativity acting out and my little family was Mary (Andie), Joseph (Zachary) and the baby (Brooklyn). Jake was a little shepherd and oh so cute, I read the story this year! My sister from Arizona came down and surprised us all, BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER! Even though it was hard to fit time in together with all the different events it was so good to catch up with her.

We came home Christmas Eve to find that we had some presents under the tree. Andie was so excited and Jake was a bit unsure what was going on. We opened our pajamas, blankets and books. The kiddos were so excited to get ready for bed, wrap up in their new blankets and read new books for story time. Before we knew it all the kids were fast asleep which left lots of time for Mom and Dad to get some sleep too.
