Disney Day Two

First Day in California Adventure was July 9th, woot, woot! The kids were excited to go to "Disneyland Two", that is the name the kids called it to tell the difference between the two parks and it seemed fitting. On our walk to the park we had the big Costco muffins and of course started getting some H2O into us since it was hot July.

In the park we headed on over to Cars Land because we wanted to make sure we got fast pass rides for the big Lightning McQueen ride, or the radiator spring racers ride whichever you wish to call it we just think big Lightning McQueen ride is so much cooler haha. We happened to get some passes which was perfect and we were ecstatic to take Jake on, once again Andie said she would pass this year on that ride (WHAT?!).

Cars Land was actually pretty slow this morning so we managed to walk onto some rides and go a few times on others. The kids really loved Maters tractor ride, I think by far it was one of the top rides this year for everyone! We managed to see Lightning McQueen and Brooklyn was set on seeing Mater (because of the cool amazing ride) so we would keep our eyes peeled for Mater to arrive sometime in the park hopefully today.

After we spent all the time we wanted in Cars Land riding repeatedly on Junkyard Jamboree we broke away to go on Ariel ride. Of course Ariel ride always has a special place in Andie's heart as she was the one obsessed with Ariel growing up! Brooklyn liked it and was more willing to try rides today but still a bit hesitant the first time on anything, thats why it was such a surprise she loved Mater ride so much!

We then made our way over to the Redwood Creek Trail play area because that place is the bomb with kids. Andie and Jake were very adventurous and took off on the ropes, they even tried the rope swing. I was very impressed with my little adventurers. We even managed to run into Chip and Dale which was an awesome special treat for the kids. Brooklyn didn't trust any of the ropes and Daddy had to carry her across to safety on it all, which made some parts difficult for Daddy. The kids really enjoyed the time and we burned a few hours before lunch and yet another pit stop.

We then made our way back over to Cars Land for our fast passes to use for the Big Lightning McQueen ride. On the way we of course had to take another ride on Ariel and we happened to see Red the firetruck from Cars so we had to stop and take a picture, still no Mater for Brooklyn but we will make this happen.

I took Jake over to the McQueen ride and Daddy took Andie and Brooklyn to Maters ride. Jake was so excited and I was excited to experience this with Jake yet again. I love when the kids get to live out their dreams! Jake was scared when he flew out of his seat over the fast hills but I tried my best to catch the ride on video while holding him down in his seat. My hair was going insane. The picture it caught of us was pretty funny because of everything going on haha but it was a joy. We then did a switch with Daddy and I rode with the girls while Daddy rode with Jake on the same rides.

Now that we hit our main ride in "Disneyland Two" we decided to head on over to look at the new pixar pier everyone was speaking great things about. I will tell you what people the best part was the giant picture of CoCo that Brooklyn had to get a picture infront of but everything else was just new paint jobs and nothing major (at least in our opinion). We hit up Jumping Jellyfish but Jake was too scared but Andie remembered she loved that ride from last year.

It was busy over by the pier so we decided to head to Bugs Land and Brooklyn was napping so a walk was needed anyways. We stopped at the coloring station so Mom and Dad could have a break from walking and Brooklyn could continue to nap. We then hit up all the Bugs Land rides and the kids loved them. I think the favorite was Fliks flyers (because the whole family fit in one flyer) and of course the bumper cars even though we had to take turns on it since there was 3 kids and 2 adults but only two people per car. We realized we are going to start running into this situation and Andie isn't 7 yet so she can't ride alone, darn! We managed though.

We took the short cut on over to Hollywood Land to ride on Monsters Inc and in the line my purse always has a special treat. Fruit by the foot was a hit this go around and it entertained them the whole line, of course the bars they can climb on helps too! Tip if you are going to have sticky candy in the line make sure you have a little pack of wet wipes with you.

After Monsters Inc we heard that Spiderman would be coming out in less then 5 minutes so of course we were one of the first in line. We haven't met Spiderman before in Disneyland and all the kids know him so we decided why not. Andie and Jake were so excited, Brooklyn could of passed as she only likes characters from a distance (my shy girl).

Before we left Pixar Pier we got fast passes for the Toy Story Mania ride because you can't ride that ride without them either. It was time so we wandered on back over to the pier. On the way we took the shortcuts and took a few pictures of course, I love those shortcuts especially with two strollers. Jake really loved Toy Story Mania and wanted to stay on that ride. It was definitely fun for the family (another family favorite) but Jake was able to control his own gun and had the time of his life. Of course the little toy shop you walk through when you get off the ride is an added bonus too, such cute things! Andie and Brooklyn became even more obsessed with Jessie and Bullseye and Jake Buzz and Woody. Anyone else excited for Toy Story 4 next year?

We were tired of walking around and really hit everything we wanted to that day so we told the kids if we left now we could go swimming in the hotel pool before it got dark. Of course the kids are always okay with swimming and we surprisingly were able to get out of the park with only one more ride on Ariel. Swimming with the kids was so fun but also scary as not all the kids know how to swim and it scares me half to death!

We were exhausted from our adventure and knew we wanted to make it to the park early again tomorrow so we ended swimming before dark. All showered and then made delicious microwave tortilla pizzas with treats in our hotel room, relaxing on our iPads until we all fell asleep ready for more Disney adventures tomorrow. Oh the memories!
