Family Vacation Day 2

Morning of June 3rd was our first day in Disneyland. We decided we would spend the day in Fantasyland so Andie could ride all the rides :)

Breakfast at the hotel was delicious, biscuits and gravy! I love biscuits and gravy! There was also donuts and Zach loves donuts so we were very pleased with our breakfast selection at the hotel each morning.

After breakfast we sprayed on our sunscreen and started our walk to Disneyland. We were so excited. The hotel was literally right across the street from Disneyland.

First stops were the Pinocchio and Snow white rides. Andie was not a fan of either of the rides. We haven't decided if she hated it because there dark and scary or because it was her first few rides and she needed to warm up to the rides. We decided to try some rides that were not dark so we  headed over to the Dumbo ride, which was my favorite when I was little, the Carousel and Casey Junior.

Andie was still unsure on the rides so we figured she loved its a small world at 3 months old so we headed that way. We stopped by the storybook ride and then continued our walk over to its a small world. She liked both of these rides so she was finally warming up :)

When it started to warm up around noon we decided it was lunch and nap time. We walked back to the hotel, turned on the disney movies and ate some macaroni. We then all took a nap until about 4 when it started to cool off again. We made our journey back to Disneyland just in time to watch the Mickey Parade. Andie enjoyed watching the floats and sitting on Dads shoulders.

We took the train a lot while in Disneyland, the one that goes around the park. Andie loved the train and people watching. Yes my daughter is only a year old but she loves to people watch! The part on the train Andie is not a fan of is the long neck dinosaurs, she could pass on seeing the dinosaurs in the dark tunnel. We headed over to the teacups and Andie loved them, I got sick of the spinning!

While I was recovering from the spinning teacups we of course had to try on some funny hats. Who goes to Disneyland and doesn't try on lots and lots of hats?

We then continued our day in Disneyland by heading over to Orleans Square and went on the Haunted Mansion ride, which Andie was ok in because she likes the boat rides. Winnie the Pooh was the next stop and Andie has found a new love. Winnie the Pooh just might be one of her favorite rides we discovered.

We ate at the Hungry Bear restaurant for dinner which included burgers, fries and onion rings with lots of water. We went on a few more rides. Walked around in Tarzans treehouse. Watched the birds in the Tiki room and left the park very exhausted at 10 that night. We were ready for bed and asleep by 11. We had a fun long first day in Disneyland and so excited for tomorrow in California Adventure!
