We excitedly went to Disneyland Monday morning, April 27th, as soon as they opened. Andie was so excited and we were just outside of Disneyland, we must of prepared well with all of those YouTube videos (Thank you random strangers for your recordings). We had such a fun day in Disneyland :)
Ready to go in the park, we had to rent some strollers first (we ended up buying a double stroller when we left the park that night). Disneyland is a stroller only park, no wagons (just FYI) haha we should of called ahead of time before bringing ours with us all the way from Utah.
When in Disneyland we went straight to Fantasyland to ride a lot of the kid approved rides. Carousel, Snow White, Pinocchio, etc. Peter Pan was closed for refurbishment while we were there (bummer).
It was pretty hot that week in California we were there. We made sure to keep the kids hydrated, Andie and Jake loved to play in the water fountains. If you go to any restaurant they will give you free ice water though (best tasting you can get while in the park).
Andie was so excited for "It's A Small World", the line not so much. Jake was so excited overtime after we rode it the first time, he is a true fan! We rode this ride more numbers then can be counted :)
Lunch time quickly rolled around, which also happened to be nap time for Jake. We packed our own lunches with sandwiches and chips, lots of snacks and juice mix packets for water bottles. It saves you so much money if you pack your own lunch and take it in. Coolers are not allowed inside the park but they do have lockers available outside the park for them. We just used an old formula container to put the items that we definitely didn't want smashed in that and it worked perfect :)
We like to eat lunch in Critter County at the Country Bear Restaurant. It has lots of shaded area and Andie was loving feeding the ducks her leftover foods, Tiana even walked by a few times as she made her way out to New Orleans Square.
Last time we came to Disneyland for Andie's first birthday she loved "Winnie the Pooh", this time not so much. If the ride was dark she stated it was to scary and didn't want to go on it anymore. She still had fun while on them but they weren't her favorites this time around. Jake didn't seem to mind the rides!
We liked riding the train with the cool breeze it provided and Andie found a new love...dinosaurs!
We were planning on arriving early and getting good seats for the parade, that didn't work out. We still watched the parade but the sun shone down on us the whole time, Jake wasn't a fan of the sun. Andie and Jake both loved the parade clapping along with all the music :)
We gave Jake a wipe to stay cool while we sat in the sun for the parade.
Sweet jumping skills haha
The Buzz Lightyear ride was a big hit with everyone (even though it was dark, the guns distracted the kiddos). We rode this ride more then a few times :)
Andie got pretty good at shooting, pretty good scores for a 2 year old.
The sun was so bright, why didn't I bring some sunglasses like the daughter?
The Dumbo ride was a lot of fun for Andie and Jake since they could control the ride. Mom was not so much a fan as my dizzyness is out of control lately ;)
Of course we had to go back to "It's A Small World" ALOT throughout our day at the park.
The Tarzan treehouse we spent a lot of time in. Andie loved it and Jake is always along for the fun! Andie has a thing with Monkeys lately, Tarzan may be the reason why.
The only thrill ride Mom and Dad were getting out of Disneyland was the Pirate of the Caribbean drops. Andie and Jake had no idea what was coming for them ;)
The nice thing about a 5 day pass to Disneyland is even after all the fun we had we get to go back tomorrow :)
