Jake 2 Years 3 Months

Jake my handsome little guy is two years and three months old, can you believe it? Jake some how you just keep managing to grow up on me and you are so independent. Jake at 2 years 3 months old...

1. Jake loves Lightning McQueen. I loved Disney Cars as a teen so to have my son love the show is like a dream come true. Jake loves Lightning McQueen since Disneyland, the obsession is real!

2. Jake was sick a bit this month. The same runny nose, stupid cold thing that went through our family along with the high fevers. I don't know what kind of sickness hit us but it came on full force and didn't leave for basically a full month. Jake of course handled it like a champ and can even blow his nose, what!

3. Jake loves Papa. We don't really know where it came from but Jake will call his Dad, Papa. It is so cute! The only conclusion we can come up with is when Jake says Andie and Daddy it sounds the same and we don't know who he is really trying to talk to so that is why he says Papa. Either way it is adorable!

4. Jake loves baths/showers. Ever since I can remember Jake has always loved water. Just the mention of a bath or shower has this boy running to the bathroom trying to take his clothing off. It is so funny! Even if he takes two baths a day he will still want another if we mention bath, we have to spell in our house a lot, B-A-T-H so that he doesn't know what we are talking about. Jake is quick to learn so he will catch on so enough.

5. Jake has ZERO interest in potty training. I am not going to stress and try to rush things with him. If I've learned anything from Andie its to do it on your child's time. Jake won't even let us sit him on the toilet so it defiantly isn't worth forcing him. Maybe in a couple more months.

6. Jake is a fan of juice still of course. Jake's favorite foods by far is juice, fruit snacks and of course cheese. Jake loves his cheese and will eat it constantly. Doesn't matter if its sliced, blocked, string or shredded this boy loves his cheese and constantly will ask for it from the fridge.

7. Jake is an outdoors man for sure. Jake hates being in the basement for to long and any mention of going outside or going somewhere that day he is grabbing his shoes and heading for the door. It doesn't matter if Jake has clothing on or not as long as he has his shoes he is out of here, silly boy!

8. Jake has a love hate with swimming. Jake loves water and baths but the moment other people are in the big bathtub with him (swimming pool) he doesn't know what to think and is a bit hesitant and scared on whats going on. I think Jake will warm up in no time once he realizes how fun playing in the water can be in a big pool.

9. Jake went to the bounce place (Andie's birthday). Jake took time to warm up to all the big bounce houses and the idea of it, even the playground he was hesitant about. He finally decided going down the big slides was fun and the big trampoline in the middle was pretty fun too.

Jake Oliver you my boy are so hesitant to try somethings new at times but within minutes you can realize the fun in all things even if it scares Mom to death at times. You keep both your parents on our toes constantly with your energy and love of life. My boy we love you so much, you are the world to your Mom and Dad!
