Nonstop Saturday

Saturday right before Fathers Day was such a hectic day. Okay half of it was our own fault with trying to do so much in one day but what a fun day it was. When we awoke of course we ate and got ready for the day, my brother Jordan was in town before leaving back to Canada so I decided to take advantage of this time and have him watch Jake and Brooklyn so that we could go on our first official kid date. We have decided that when each child is four years old (school aged) we will try to take them out monthly for just Mom and Dad time (we will see how long we can keep this tradition going with so many kiddos).

We decided to take Andie to Finding Dory, Nemo 2 as we call it. Of course we had to splurge a bit and get popcorn and drinks which we NEVER do. Andie loved it and did well for the most part. She did get pretty antsy towards the end of the movie, its a lot for my energy bunnies. It was such a good first Andie date.

Once the movie was over we went and got Jake and Brooklyn before heading to West Fest. We always look around at all the booths to get the random little free things. It was a bit hot and we were all a little Hangry (hungry, hot and angry) so we didn't last long. We packed up the kiddos and went over to Carls Junior to eat some food and have the kids burn off some energy.

Once five o'clock rolled around we started to head on downtown to the Zoo. My work was having a party event at the zoo, little private event. The kids were so excited to go to the zoo and we got to ride unlimited rides so of course we took advantage of that, mostly with the carousel. It was fun to be able to see the baby lions and some of the other animals.

I didn't realize that Hogle Zoo now has a second playground there. Yes we spent at least an hour playing on the playgrounds. It was so much fun to be able to just relax and play with the kids and have it not very busy either.

We made our regular rounds and got back to the carousel and rode that over and over again until the park was closed. It was so much fun to be able to spend this time together as a family before some big changes come. Family time is always so special!
