Jakes 3rd Birthday

Jake Oliver had a birthday and turned three years old. How is my precious little boy already three? We of course had to celebrate big time and all he asked for was a McQueen birthday. This is the first birthday we have had an a super long time not done up in our basement kitchen so it was a strange decorating experience.

Jake loved the birthday decorations so even if Mom wasn't too impressed Jake was in McQueen HEAVEN. Jake was ecstatic with all his presents and Andie was even more ecstatic that she could help open a few of them with Jake's permission. Brooklyn was clueless what was happening but give it a year and she will be right their with the siblings.

After the presents we went for the traditional donut breakfast, I love the pile of donuts tradition we are creating. Jake loved that we sang to him and that he had so many McQueens. After we made a mess of the donuts we of course went straight to get dressed for the day.

Once we were all dressed and ready to go we wanted to go to a "jumping playground" but different then what we went to for Andie's birthday just to try out others. We went to the Kangaroo Zoo and the kids had so much fun. Jake and Andie were running around like crazy having the time of their lives, they were a bit bummed that Mom and Dad couldn't go on the bounce houses with them. Brooklyn was a bit nervous and unsure of the unstable playgrounds but sitting at the bottom of the slides watching her siblings come down was her favorite.

We were starving after the playground but of course what do little three year old boys want most, why more playgrounds. So we found a new playground we hadn't been to before at a fast food restaurant. Then we of course happened to pick the best place because Jake got to see a real life mater going on as there was a crash just outside the playground window.

When we were played out and our stomachs were full we went on home to of course make room for some cake. Jake loved his cake and got a new sally toy, he didn't have one of those and said he needed one. I think over all Jake really enjoyed turning three and his McQueen birthday was a complete hit. I love you my boy and can't believe you are getting so big!

1st Dentist Appointment

For years I have been meaning to be a good Mom and take Andie to the dentist, after all your supposed to start taking your children once teeth pop up or the first birthday and...I failed completely. I was going in for my check-up with my dentist so I decided why not schedule an appointment for Andie to be seen too.

Andie was nervous but watched Mom get her cleaning done before bravely sitting in the chair herself. Andie surprised both me and the dental staff with how well she did. Andie took the brushing, flossing, polishing and all like a total champ.

Andie came out with a few teeth problems and now the motherly decisions begin as I figure out what will be best for my little girl. What do you do for a four year old with teeth problems, scare them with going to your dentist and chancing a disaster unfolding with a child who is petrified of shots OR finding a pediatrician office and see what they would suggest. Decisions, Decisions!

Brooklyn 1 Year 4 Months

Brooklyn my girl you are well on your way to be a year and a half old already. Baby girl you literally are heaven sent and we can't imagine our world without you right in the middle of it all. We love you princess. Brooklyn at 1 year 4 months old...

1. Brooklyn is a no nap gal. Brooklyn was taking naps for such a long time that when night time rolled around she was just not wanting to sleep. She would sleep for only a couple hours and then just be up all hours of the night. We couldn't handle this anymore so we cut the naps cold turkey. It was difficult at first to try and keep her up midday when she usually napped but it will get better.

2. Brooklyn celebrated Valentines Day. Brooklyn loves any holiday that involves some presents of food, which holiday doesn't? That's right Brooklyn loves all the holidays!

3. Brooklyn had a little getaway to Idaho. Brooklyn has had so much change in the last couple months that when we decided to take a little trip for a couple nights to Idaho it was like it didn't even phase this girl. Brooklyn slept well and enjoyed the new environment playing with new kids. It is so fun that there is so many cousins just around my kiddos ages.

4. Brooklyn loves food. If anyone around Brooklyn is eating food it isn't safe as they must share with out little cutie.

5. Brooklyn is very helpful. Brooklyn is still our one that will clean and help Mom and Dad, she is very obedient and always wanting to lend a hand out. Brooklyn has the sweetest, kindest little heart ever.

6. Brooklyn LOVES coloring. Brooklyn is another little left handed crafty girl that I have and boy does that crafty girl LOVE coloring. Brooklyn always wants a marker in her hand and a paper by her side so she can scribble away. It is the cutest thing to watch Brooklyn draw her pictures.

7. Brooklyn is determined. I think I have said this before on how determined my princess is but my goodness this girl. Brooklyn definitely thinks she is older then she is! Brooklyn puts her mind towards something and won't quit till she succeeds. Brooklyn is very opinionated and she definitely didn't get it from me.

Brooklyn Riley you are such a perfect little package. You honestly came into our lives so quickly and your exactly what I needed, exactly what your Daddy needed and also your siblings. You bring this family together in a little mold. Brooklyn your amazing and I love you so much!

Andie 4 Years 9 Months

Andie my princess darling you are a month older and closer to five years old everyday, and you never let anyone forget it haha. I love you fun outlook on life and the joy you have in all things. Andie Noelle at 4 years 9 months old...

1. Andie loves coloring pictures. Andie is such a creative little genius and loves to color all day long. Andie has found a love for coloring pictures to give to other people now too and is sharing her talents. She gave a picture to her teachers at school and they laminated it and hung it on the wall, it was so sweet of them!

2. Andie visited her cousin. Andie always talks about going and visiting her cousins in other states, it is cute to watch her relationship with each of them. It is such a crazy thought to me that my kids are playing with my siblings kids and are all best friends. Time is such a strange thing!

3. Andie always wants her nails done. Andie is constantly asking Mom to get her nails done and will all the disasters that have unfolded the last few months in our family I seem to be lacking. We had these nails stickers that we put on one day though and Andie was in Heaven. I will get better at this girly stuff with my amazing daughter.

4. Andie got her class picture back. Closer to the beginning of the school year the preschool had pictures done and Andie finally got her class picture. Class pictures aren't group shots like they used to be when I was growing up, they are all the individual students with their names and that is actually a genius idea so you always know the kids names in your class in case you happen to forget in years past. Andie has such an adorable little class, some of her best friends are Tofa, Rebecca & Danica.

5. Andie loves to match Mom. Andie has always loved to be just like Mommy, what little girl doesn't want to be like their hero. I found some little boots on sale that were just like Mommies and Andie that it was the best thing ever. Andie looks so cute in her first pair of heels. It took her a little bit of time to learn how to walk in them without dragging her feet around but she finally got the hang of it.

6. Andie is getting a little boy crazy. Andie has always loved princesses from the minute she knew they existed and all princesses have a prince they marry. Andie keeps telling us that she has found her prince and it is the cutest funniest thing. The guy of the week is Jonathan from her class and we bumped in to him at the dinosaur playground one day, what a coincidence.

7. Andie found out that the world isn't as happy as movies make it out to be. Andie discovered that people eat fish. One day we were walking around a store and Andie came upon the fish food display and she was a little disturbed and people are eating Ariels friends. It was a good lesson on the circle of life haha.

Andie Noelle you are such a special little girl always bringing your father and I so much laughter. Our hearts are so warmed with the love we have for you. You truly are the center of our world and we love everything about your creative self!
