Tiena Lowry

Almost 10 years ago I lived in a small town called Magrath just above the United States border. My family was good friends with the Lowry family. It could be that we had so many children there was bound to be someone your age. It could be that my sister Kari was best friends with the twins of this Lowry family. Either way the Lowrys are AMAZING and it pains my heart to have one of them return home to our Heavenly Father a little to early, in our eyes. My prayers and thoughts are out to the Lowry family always, but especially at this time!

Teina Beth Lowry passed away January 20, 2015, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was 21 years old. She will be missed by her family and many friends throughout the world. Teina was born June 16, 1993 to Rod and Sherylin (Atwood) Lowry. She is the ninth child of twelve. Her Momma calls her "angel child." Teina grew up in Magrath Alberta, where she enjoyed an idyllic childhood. She graduated from Magrath High in 2011. Though she was short in stature she loved sports, especially basketball. She picked up her first basketball when only 2 years old. She was a valued member of the Magrath Pandas and worked hard to make sure her teammates did their best.

She attended Brigham Young University Hawaii and loved the chance to see more of her Maori heritage. She spent many joyful hours with her brothers and sisters who attended the university at the same time. She loved all of the adventures taken with family, cousins and her many dear friends. One of her favorite sayings was "Ohana!" Ohana means "family", and family means "no one gets left behind or forgotten."

Teina loves music. She loves to sing and play the piano, guitar and ukulele. She was always learning and singing new songs with her sisters and brothers. She leaves in this world her parents Rodvern and Sherylin Lowry. Her maternal grandparents Dan and DeAnne Atwood. Her siblings Rio (Kathleen), Makea (Melina), Anthony (Brittnee), Maikal (Brittany), Jesse (Hannah), Mysha, Ylanna (Dan), Nathaniel, Shenoa, Moroni, and Makore. She is loved by all her nieces and nephews: Rodvern, Sariah, Julia, Daniel, Christien, Sterling, Dane, Freyja, Omni, Helam, William, Danelle, Mosiah, Alora, Ben, Aurora, and a half baked niece. She also leaves aunts, uncles, friends and cousins too numerous to list.

We will ever be united as an eternal family by everlasting covenants with this
sweet spirit. Teina we will see you again.
