Jake Oliver your second birthday is fast approaching, can you believe it? I am getting excited about spoiling you on your special day and can't wait for your birthday weekend. At One year ten months old Jake is...
1. Jake loves the furnace room. Jake is constantly finding moments where he can escape and hide away in the furnace room playing with the vacuum and elliptical. Know matter how many times we tell him no we will find Jake crouched down hiding from eyesight but banging on the furnace. We finally had enough of that and put a lock on the doors, it makes him so angry.
2. Jake celebrated Christmas. Jake loved getting new Baymax toys and always enjoys his toy cars. Jake was in heaven just with his Baymax and really wouldn't of minded if he didn't get anything else. He opened up some presents but got distracted fairly easy. Next year I think this kiddo will be ALL into the presents!
3. Jake got food poisoning. Just like his older sister Jake was up all night with food poisoning after some Christmas chocolate he ate, poor kid. Jake was not a fan of throwing up but who can blame him? He never liked it when Zachary or I would quickly stuff a bucket under his chin and would get mad. Jake was so miserable and I hope he doesn't have to suffer through food poisoning again.
4. Jake is a fan of no pants. If this kid doesn't have to leave the house he would rather just be in a shirt and diaper all day long. Thank goodness if we go out somewhere he will keep his pants on though, he knows he has to be clothed to go bye and he LOVES to go bye!
5. Jake is a fan of Star Wars. Daddy showed Jake some clips of Star Wars fighting scenes with the light sabers and Jake thinks its so cool. He is now trying to use vacuum pipes (or whatever he can find) as his light sabers as he tries to pretend fight. Oh gosh my little nerd boy I love him!
6. Jake is talking more and more. Jake loves that more people can understand what he is saying or wanting. He still gets things a bit confused as he loves to call any child a baby even if they are older then him, most are.
7. Jake is having sleeping problems. For a bit there we tried to cut out Jakes naps during the day and that wasn't a good idea. Little man started to get night terrors and it was horrid and we couldn't do anything about it. We have decided to start up naps again and hope that the terrors stop. Who knew that being sleep deprived cause these? I know its been hard with the transition of bringing a little sister into the home for Jake and I hope he knows he is still loved SO MUCH by both his Mom and Daddy. We love you little man!
8. Jake loves Baymax (obviously). Jake loves to play with Baymax and his new favorite game to play with him is to play with the villains of Disney and have Baymax be the hero. It is so cute to watch as Jake has his imagination really play out. Ursula and Baymax fighting is one of his favorites haha.
9. Jake is growing so quickly and has so many molars. I haven't looked in this kids mouth for awhile and I was surprised to see all of those chompers my how things can change in a year. Jake didn't get his first tooth until like a year old.
Jake Oliver your my cute little boy and I am so proud of you. I love watching you as your grow and learn new things daily on your own. You have this fantastic imagination and personality and everyone can't help but gravitate towards you. I love you Jake, always and FOREVER!
