Idaho Getaway

For the first time in forever (name that movie) we have been able to go on a long weekend getaway. We were so excited when we saw this opportunity arise we knew we would have to do SOMETHING. We decided a quick trip to Idaho would be perfect.

We left the morning of February 18th to drive up to Idaho. Everything went smoothly with the drive except one small bump in the rode with our flat tire light came on in the middle of no where, just our luck. We found a small little gas station 20 miles up the road, placed air in the tires and were good the rest of the trip.

We then drove straight to Zachary's Grandparents place and had a good talk session, Zachary's oldest sister was also there visiting so it made it a special little time. We went out and ate dinner together after before Zachary and I ran off to the next persons house, after all this was a quick little trip.

We spend the night at my oldest brothers house with his small little family. It was great to be able to talk to him and his wife and just get to know them that much more. Andie was excited to spend a sleepover with her cousin but was a little to scared come night times to actually sleep in her cousins room. It was a good test run each night though.

The next morning was Sunday and we went to my brothers ward, we loved it! Jake told his nursery leaders when they asked his name that it was "Jakey" you can tell what his family calls him haha. The ward was so family friendly with so many young kids, we felt so at home. I hope to be in a ward like this one day when we have a house of our own years down the road.

My brother and sister that are away at college but nearby came for dinner while we were up visiting and it was so great to be able to spend time with 4 of us siblings for that short little time. We even made a little drive to see my oldest brothers work place, it is always so neat to see where my siblings are in their lives and I am so proud of every one of them.

We stayed up late talking and of course even had a movie night with popcorn, juice and watching Baymax (Big Hero 6). Jake burned his hand on the fireplace getting the tips of his fingers, he wasn't impressed but hid it the whole movie from all the pain he was feeling.

It is always so fun to take a little sanity getaway and we can't wait to do it again. The next morning we left around noon to drive home without rushing things as we had school and work to go back to the next day. Once we were back in Utah we made a little pit stop for some ice cream and burn off some energy from sitting in the car all afternoon by playing on a playground. We had such a fun weekend!

Jake 2 Years 11 Months

Jake my boy you are a month away from three years old already, can you believe it? I for one am trying to get used to the idea of a three year old little boy. My little soon to be threenager at 2 years old 11 months...

1. Jake got his first official haircut. Jake went with Daddy to cookie cutters and he sat in a little red car and got his hair cut. What a cute little haircut Jake got and a balloon and sucker he got out of it. I love my handsome boy!

2. Jake is Daddy's little helper. Jake is constantly wanting to be with his Daddy, do what his Daddy is doing and helping Daddy with whatever is needed. Jake is such a cute little boy and he has no better hero to look up to then his amazing Daddy.

3. Jake moved for the first time. Jake has never moved in his life as he was born in the last basement we lived in. Jake has had such a struggle without being able to go "home" as he calls it but I think with time he will enjoy being at Grandma's house for a bit.

4. Jake has a red obsession. Jake has been obsessed with McQueen and the color red for what seems like well over a year now and still to this day red is this guys favorite color. Jake is such an amazing little red loving little boy, if only he knew his Mommas maiden name just was that.

5. Jake hates nursery. Jake is such a hard little boy and has been since day one with keeping his parents right on their toes. Jake would rather sit in the van each Sunday and watch his movies then go inside and sit in nursery. I will have to think of how to have Jakey enjoy nursery.

6. Jake has an obsession with emptying things. Jake loves to empty all the toy bins, laundry baskets, garbages and anything else he can find. One of the many things is salt, salt is never safe with little man around. Did I mention that Jake has an obsession with destroying things too, like drawing with sharpie all over furniture, floors and walls!

7. Jake loves playing toy cars. Jake is our little boy through and through and with that comes the love of little hot wheel cars and of course his favorites are his Lightning McQueen's but his other cars get a drive around too on his race track.

Jake Oliver you are the funnest little boy and I love everything about you. You have this pure heart of gold but yet in this heart of gold you have this cute little troublemaker that just happens to break free on occasions and that is what makes you Jake. I love you my boy and all your trouble making self. You my boy are so amazing, never change!

Valentine's Day 2017

My plan this year was to go above and beyond and be a better wife and mother, one of those things I wanted was to be better with the holidays. With the flood and everything happening in our life I didn't quite make the cut. Valentines was a very last minute thought but the kids did make some cards to give to some family.

We also gave the kids our traditional little stuffed animal and treat. It is so fun to make little traditions with each holiday and Zachary even surprised me with some flowers and treats. Zachary is so sweet to me and I did absolutely nothing for him. Wow! I love my kiddos and husband and maybe one day my life will be pulled together and we will be a little more organized in our life haha.

Brooklyn 1 Year 3 Months

Brooklyn my baby girl you are another month older and your life is going by so quickly, why are you a little toddler now  instead of my tiny baby? Brooklyn your little fiery spirit brings so much joy and life is never dull with you by our side. I love you so much my princess! Brooklyn at 1 year and 3months old...

1. Brooklyn moved for the first time in her life. Brooklyn had a hard time sleeping when it came to a new unfamiliar territory. After some time Brooklyn adjusted and as always you got through everything with such friendly smiles.

2. Brooklyn is talking a lot more. Brooklyn is this freaking genius who seems to understand everything we are saying at such a young age, maybe it is because you have older siblings but you are such a little smarty pants baby girl. Brooklyn knows how to say so many words that I can't even name them all. It is cute as we tell her to get a coat, socks, shoes, etc and she can understand and listen. I love my Brooklyn!

3. Brooklyn dresses herself. Brooklyn is to the point she just wants to dress herself and be so independent. Brooklyn is one who thinks she is definitely way older then she truly is!

4. Brooklyn started going to test nursery classes. When Grandma (favorite person ever) is one of the leaders in nursery you sometimes luck out and get to go to nursery early and Brooklyn happened to be one of those lucky girls. Brooklyn is doing so amazing in nursery and loves singing time and of course what kid doesn't love snack time too.

5. Brooklyn is still on the bottle. Usually when my kids hit a year old we cut bottles cold turkey but Brooklyn really enjoyed her night time bottles and with the move and everything piled up at once I decided to let her keep them.

6. Brooklyn has my bad ears. Brooklyn had terrible ear infections going on and I finally got her into the pediatrician. Brooklyn you had to get on antibiotics for your ear infections. You went through stages of loving the medicine and taking it so willingly or I would basically have to pry your lips open. Brooklyn you have such a determined personality and will only do what you want at that time, it's so sweet.

7. Brooklyn is enjoying playgrounds more. Brooklyn is getting big enough to go and play on the equipment with her older siblings and she loves it! It is the cutest thing watching Andie help Brooklyn up all the playground steps and so Brooklyn can enjoy the slides. Oh baby girl you are growing up to quick. Brooklyn is also the fastest runner when she is really eager to want something, this girl can fly.

8. Brooklyn is our music buff. All the Wadsworth kiddos are big music fans but when it comes to Brooklyn she is the best dancer in town and everything has a beat, even if it doesn't Brooklyn can find one. Brooklyn is constantly moving to anything she possibly can!

Brooklyn Riley you have this adventure for life and is constantly in motion. Brooklyn you have this sunshine around you that really is contagious and I love that about you. Brooklyn you are my amazing little girl and I don't want you to ever forget the love your mother has for you! Love you my princess.

Andie 4 Years 8 Months

Andie is coming up quick towards her fifth birthday and I can't believe I have been a Mom for that long, shock factor. Andie Noelle please stop growing so quickly because your making me feel so old. Andie at 4 years old 8 months...

1. Andie has moved again. We had a flood in our old basement and so the move was sudden, not planned and Andie was a little confused why we moved without all her toys and clothes. Andie has managed the move with such strength and has come to an understanding of floods are NOT FUN!

2. Andie loves having a real bathtub. Andie has always bathed in a storage container because we have lived in an apartment that had not bathtub just the standing shower, Mom had to improvise. Andie has never been so thrilled to take baths every night and pulling that girl out is literally a STRUGGLE!

3. Andie is learning so much in school. Andie has had this knowledge explode from her tiny little head since August. She has this imagination and love for stories that has grown and each night she has to make up one of her own stories and it's the cutest thing listening as she creates this imaginary world in her head.

4. Andie hates scabs. Andie thinks all scabs are of course bad ouches that need more and more band-aids and super gross. Andie is such a little princess but hey I don't like those ugly things on my beautiful skin either haha.

5. Andie is very organized. I may have rubbed off on Andie a little bit and each night we have to go over the next days plans so we know exactly what will be happening. What can we say us girls like our life set straight!

6. Andie loves writing ABC's. Andie has found a love for writing random letters pretending to make a word and then asking us what it says. Lets just say that this can be a little scary at times as she has no idea what she is actually writing haha, great times.

7. Andie loves snow. Since day one Andie has loved snow and each time there is that lovely white substance outside we have to go and play in it. There is one problem about playing in snow in Utah though is that the snow only lasts for the mornings and by the afternoon its gone. Thank goodness we have had a few snow days this year Andie has soaked in.

8. Andie says some of the darnedest things and I need to keep better track of them. Some of the things she has stated this past month are, "Mom I had a dream that you had a big head" and of course when she find a giant leave on the ground we had this conversation. "I am going to show everyone this big thing" Mom states its a leaf and Andie replies very concerned, "We need tape to fix it back on the tree" HAHA.

Andie Noelle each month I take as a blessing with you. You bring so much joy to my life and I would not be who I am today without out you as my little girl always and forever. I love you my sweetheart and all you have to offer the world right in front of you!

Updates

Remember how I was going to have such a good easy year (at least in my head this was my plan) and then the year started full swing and then I have lost track of everything. Here is a bullet post of some of our compiled events...

- The van got stuck in the snow on a hill on a very snowy morning for over 3 hours. We had contact with two tow trucks and many nice people trying to help Zach out but we had no success for hours. Thank goodness the last tow truck happened to pull the van out no problem.

- We had a flood in our basement leaving us to decide to move out right away instead of 3 weeks later then we have had planned. Moving in the mix of a flood and having nothing prepared was so difficult.

- We lived in a room upstairs in my parents house for a week before we were able to move the beds over. One room in the basement here had flooded so we had to wait for it to dry out before we could start the official move, clean the old basement and unpack here at the parents. Busy, busy!

- Zach got a job at a Hospital as a Radiology Technician Assistant. How neat of him to only apply for one job and get the job he applied for, especially with Intermountain. Zach is in the field where he will want to work forever and it is so amazing!

- I have been training for a new program at work going to hours of training. This is going to be such a  new experience for me as I have been using the same program for over 3 and a half years, I am a bit nervous to be jumping into this, wish me luck.

- We went to a funeral and said our good byes to Zach's patients that he had been seeing for years. It was such a sad goodbye for both patients. Terry passed away unexpectedly and we made our way to his viewing. What a small world when I found out two old coworkers are even related to him. We said our goodbyes to John too as money issues resulted in our splitting ways, so sad.

- I have still struggled with the depression from my miscarriages and so of course my emotional eating is out of control and don't even mention all the sicknesses that have already hit us and continue to hit us this winter. Oh joys!

Life is a bit crazy and 2017 is not panning out the way I had dreamt it would be but overall we are growing to be strong, better and more loving as we go through our life struggles together. Yes we don't have a lot going for us but I still don't think I would want this life any other way. I have three amazing children and my handsome husband.
