Jake Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Jakes birthday a couple of days early for the activity so Dad could be there.  We started out our day with some cookies for breakfast that looked like Baymax. Dad got sugar cookies and put white icing on them with black eyes, worked out perfect. Jake was very impressed and gobbled up his cookie, or at least the icing portion of it.

We then all got ready and went to the aquarium (FYI your phone will tell you to park on the freeway haha), our two year old celebration tradition. I figured Jake is water crazy and just might enjoy watching some animals swim around, I didn't remember the fact he is FREAKED out about animals, but he did eventually warm up some and really enjoyed it.

Andie was excited to walk across the bridge even though she was SO SCARED the whole time. Jake couldn't care less but wasn't impressed about crossing ropes when he just wanted to run free everywhere.

We had so much fun at the aquarium seeing the penguins and sharks, especially the sharks. I am pretty sure we spent the majority of our time in the shark tunnel and big tank room watching the fish swim.

After the aquarium we went over to Chick-fil-a to eat some lunch/dinner and let Jake and Andie run around on the playground. Why isn't there more places with playgrounds for children to play on? This is parent sanity for when you have multiple children PLUS it is kid heaven to be able to play with all the other children as they come in. Why can't adult make friends as fast as kids can?

After a couple hours we went home and had a few presents for Jake to open, we wanted him to have it feel like it was a birthday we celebrated, which he absolutely loved. It was such a fun day celebrating our little boy turning two! How will he be two in just a couple more days?
