Jake 1 Year 4 Months

Jake Oliver is already 16 month old, almost a year and a half (I can feel nursery in the distance haha). Jake is growing up so quickly and it seems I blink once and another month has gone by. Jake at one year four months...

1. Jake loves to feed himself. If you try to feed this boy out of your bowl or off of your spoon it won't work. Jake has to put food into his own mouth no matter how much he may want it. What a funny boy!

2. Jake has switched over to a toddler bed. We have loved it since now in the mornings Jake can get out of bed and come find Mom and Dad, so cute! Jake is loving the change the most I am positive :)

3. Jake loves to give hugs. I love hugs from Jake as he wraps his tiny arms around my neck so tightly, I am not looking forward to when he doesn't want to give Mom tight hugs anymore. I love you Jake!

4. Jake loves his cars chair. Since the moment we have gotten this little toddler chair he has loved it. Ever second he gets he will sit in that chair, watching movies, eating snacks or even taking naps!

5. Jake loves French Toast. There isn't much food that this boy hates, besides cotton candy, but he has many favorites. We have discovered this past month French Toast is definitely a win as he will eat more then Mom will when we sit down for breakfast :)

6. Jake went to his first movie in the theater, "Inside Out". Jake did so good until right up to the very end of the movie when Dad had to go walk with him just outside the theater, hey for a 16 month old that is great!

7. Jake is our little cleaner as he loves to wipe anything and everything. Give Jake a wipe and you will soon have a clean table, floor or even himself.

8. Jake loves the slide, but mostly so he can climb up them. You defiantly know you have a boy when he tries to do the opposite of what your suppose to do, right? Good thing my boy is so cute :)

I love you my Jake Oliver, everything about you. You are my special little boy and always will be. You are mine and I would have it no other way!

Our Second GIRL

I have been looking forward to my first doctors appointment for what feels like forever, probably because it has been forever! Finally on July 8th (almost 20 weeks) I had my first appointment with Doctor Yamashiro, love that doctor of mine :) As soon as they called my name I felt so welcome. The MA remembered me from the last two pregnancies and even Yamashiro was sitting right there as soon as we walked in ready to greet us, AMAZING! They were a little amazed to realize I was half way again (just like with Andie, must be a girl thing).

Yamashiro listened for a heartbeat and found one right away and jokingly said it was twins, um no! Everything looks good for baby thus far but I hadn't gotten an ultrasound or blood work yet so time will tell basically is what was stated. They are a little concerned as my blood pressure is on borderline and I am trying for a VBAC this time around so I guess we will see what happens.

I was sent down to do my blood work, ouch! I always make them draw from my hand but the tech was very insistent to go into my arm, digging hurts. Of course I bruised like a peach but what else can be expected from that.

I scheduled my ultrasound for the soonest available appointment, the next morning! I excitedly went to my ultrasound appointment and was on time. I told Zachary there is two appointments a pregnant women will never be late to, gender reveal and delivery. Am I right? As soon as I walked into the room they asked if I wanted to know the gender, YES!

We are having a girl, I was right, 100% for mother instinct on all my kiddos thus far. Brooklyn Riley will be joining our family hopefully in November, I really don't want a December baby (sorry if your birthday is in December Brooklyn). Everything looked perfect on our little girl except they were concerned with the heart pictures they got so we have another ultrasound scheduled for August. Why do my kids have to scare me with their hearts (sounds funny when I write it out).

I love my Brooklyn Riley so much already and I can't wait to hold her in my arms :)

Andie 3 Years 1 Month

Andie is another month older and shall I say wiser too :) Andie is now three years and one month old, a month into her fourth year of life, very shocked mother over here. Andie at three years one month...

1. Andie is working on her animals and animal sounds. I never was the parent to sit down with her and say what does the cow say? Maybe I should of but I didn't. Now as we are reading more books I am having her show me how much she knows, surprisingly more then expected. It is cute watching her as she says the animals or the sounds, example ducks apparently say crack crack crack (haha). I love my little girl and all her smartness.

2. Andie broke her iPad. It was a sad heart shattering toddler moment as she takes pretty good care of the iPad. I knew it was bound to happen since Mom and Dad never bought a case for her yet. We finally did though and it is complete with a handle on it, best purchase :) Now we just have to fix the screen.

3. Andie is scared of thunderstorms. We have been having a lot of storms here in Utah lately so Andie has been a bit tense. We were in the car one day and I was thinking of taking the kids to the park when all of the sudden the worst storm came. Andie hid under a blanket forever!

4. Andie loves fireworks, but only from inside a house. Andie will constantly watch the fireworks on YouTube videos or will get excited if she hears them outside while she is inside. If Andie is in front of fireworks though she is petrified for her life. It makes for very interesting holidays this year!

5. Andie loves the train ride at the mall. We aren't really a mall family, Walmart and Target yes but rarely the mall. We made it to the movies a couple weeks back and she did so good watching "Inside Out" that we rewarded her with a train ride. Obsession started :)

6. Andie is very adventures and especially loves to jump off anything and everything. Andie is a dare devil when it comes to jumping off of things : computer desk, couches, tables, chairs, slides, etc. Anything you can possibly think would be dangerous she is up there trying to jump off. My heart cant take this scared motherness.

7. Andie loves her ice cream. Our freezer is on the bottom on our fridge so she is constantly going in and grabbing ice cream treats for herself. I think its so cute as she is opening an ice cream sandwich for herself she thinks of her brother and gives one to him too. We have a little ice cream aholic on our hands :)

Andie you are growing up to be such a fantastic beautiful young women. I love your sense of adventure and your kind heartiness to your brother. I love your big smile and tender hugs. I love your eyes and the cute things you say. You are so perfect in my eyes, always and forever!

July 4th

As I said earlier, this pregnancy has made me so tired I have no energy to do anything even for holidays. July Fourth was no different and we didn't do much celebrating, we never even made it out to West Fest or Taylorsville Dayz this year. We did manage to see a little bit of fireworks which we found out Andie and Jake prefer to watch them inside the house instead of outside (loud noises). It was still fun to be able to get together with a few of my siblings, have a BBQ and set off a few small fireworks. Next year maybe we will do better ;)

Inside Out

Have you seen the movie "Inside Out" yet? If not GO NOW! Zachary and I loved it so much on our date night we decided to risk it and take the kids. This was Jakes first movie and Andies first one she actually remembers (we took her to two movies when she was a baby).

When we first walked into the theater Andie and Jake were both shaking and scared. They didn't know what this giant room with chairs and an extra large TV was going to do. Luckily they love movies and as soon as it started playing on the screen they stopped tensing up.

With lots of snacks Andie and Jake managed to do pretty good throughout the movie. I don't plan on taking them again for awhile but hey it was still fun :) We rewarded them with a train ride, thank you Mall. It was a fun family adventure!

Doctor Appointments

Andie and Jake both had a doctors appointment on the same day, lucky me I got to take them alone too...NEVER AGAIN!

Andie did so good and is a very healthy three year old girl. Andie knows her colors, can start to count and loves being creative. The only thing that I had a bit of trouble answering for the doctor was if other people can understand fifty percent of what she is saying. My reply was basically if she is comfortable around you yes, otherwise my shy girl won't talk around others (just like her mommy). I am not going to be posting heights and weights anymore as she is old enough that I will pass on posting those publicly (heights maybe here and there, she is in the 75th percent).

Jake did the best he could for his fifteen month appointment. Jake was scared the moment we were taken into the room to see the doctor, shivering in fear. He ended up getting three shots along with a blood draw, poor guy, he had a reason to be shivering in fear. Jake is a very healthy baby boy and growing like a champ. He is in the 25th percent for weight (22 pounds 7 ounces) and 80th for height (31 inches), tall and skinny. Jake is progressing just as he should be and is usually such a happy boy, until he is in a doctors office.

Andie and Jake did so well for their appointments we ended up going to Walmart that night and letting them pick out a new toy. I love my kiddos and am so happy they are healthy, what a blessing!

Fathers Day

Can you say I am really slacking on holidays and birthdays this year? If you won't say it then I will! Gosh I am so tired this pregnancy its killing me. I did manage to put together a little something for Fathers Day this year though, small is better then nothing right?

It was fun for Andie and Jake to give Daddy his gift and be able to spend the day with him at church and then at a family dinner that night. I am so thankful for Zachary - his patience, willingness, the way he loves me and our kiddos. Zachary really is a winner and I never want to lose him! I love you Zachary, Happy Fathers Day :)
