Brooklyn 6 Months

Brooklyn my baby girl you are six months old, half a year already, HOW? You have experienced so much in just your six months of life and you have changed your families life completely. We can't imagine life with your contagious smile and laughs. Your siblings are crazy about you and are constantly trying to attack you with hugs and kisses (mom and dad just do it without hurting you). Brooklyn at 6 months old...

1. Brooklyn is playing with toys more. Brooklyn is now to the stage that she is interested in playing/eating with toys or really anything she can grasp. It's so cute to watch Brooklyn love playing with her carseat toys as her arms are long enough and she finds an interest in them.

2. Brooklyn loves wipes. This kind of goes along with the toys BUT Brooklyn is crazy about the wipes packages as they are so loud and crinkly. Every diaper change Brooklyn won't stay still unless we give her the package of wipes to play with, so cute!

3. Brooklyn is such a little lady. Brooklyn is always caught with her ankles crossed and it's the cutest thing EVER! Brooklyn will just lay there or sit there with her ankles cross like always.

4. Brooklyn is partially sitting now. Brooklyn has been struggling about bit to sit up on her own. We found the reason is because she has such a large head (must be a Redd (moms families) head). Brooklyn will sit there but her head always seems to be knocking her over, she is getting the hang of it slowly but surely. I am sure part of it is because of the kiddos knocking her over whenever she gets a chance to even attempt to sit up, sorry girl!

5. Brooklyn went to Disneyland! We usually try to wait until the kids are a year old before we go for their first birthday. With Daddy starting up school in the fall this plan wouldn't really work so instead we have gone for our summer family vacation. Brooklyn didn't really show as many facial expressions as the rest of her siblings BUT she is a very timid personality. Brooklyn isn't to sure on what new things we are trying until its done with then she will show interest or not. So cute to see Brooklyn's personality shine through.

6. Brooklyn loves Tsum Tsums. While trying to look for souvenirs in Disneyland for little Brooklyn the only things we could come up with was princess bath toys. Thats until we saw the tsum tsums and can I tell you they are perfect little baby toys. Brooklyn loves that she can hold them in her hand and of course eat them. Brooklyn LOVES her Tsum Tsums!

7. Brooklyn is my little photographer. In Disneyland we held her a lot while waiting in lines and such.  As I was the one mostly taking photos when I was holding her she was always trying to touch the phone and actually took some of the photos with mom. I have a little photographer on my hands in training. 

8. Brooklyn is growing fast. Brooklyn went to her six month doctors appointment and came out weighing a whooping 17 pounds 12.5 ounces (80%), that is basically 18 pounds at 6 months old, WHAT! Brooklyn is also just over 27 inches long (90%). How is my baby growing so quickly. She is in the 3-6 month clothes, wearing size 2 diapers and for her bottles she is still eating 6 ounces every 3 hours in the day and then a long stretch at night, most of the time.

Brooklyn Riley you have came into our lives at the most perfect time. You have shown our family how to love more, smile more, laugh more and even cuddle more. You are a perfect princess and we love everything about you! Brooklyn you are my princess and I don't want to imagine life without you, I love you!
