Disneyland Vacation: Day 7

We woke up with such energy to head on back to Disneyland for our second day of our three there. The kids get so excited in the morning that sometimes breakfast is pushed aside so sometimes pop tarts have to do but that's okay in my eyes if they get something to get them going till we are in the park.

Today we wanted to meet some more characters because we hadn't seen much and the princesses were on the top of the girls lists, good thing Jake is such good sport and was excited to have them sign his book too. Brooklyn is still hesitant with the characters but she LOVED the princess store.

We spent some time before lunch hitting the Casey Jr's, Mr Toads Wild ride and of course It's a small world. It was SO HOT today and I think it wore us out way more then usual. We hit a few other rides and walked around some stores so Jake could play with some swords, it's his new obsession. Lunch was peanut butter jelly sandwiches again and boy do those taste delicious when your eating them in Disneyland.

Most of the afternoon we spent in Mickey's Toontown. When you have little kids Mickey's Toonstown is the best! There is so many picture opportunities which makes Mom's heart happy and you can climb on so much cars, playgrounds, equipment that kids are in heaven. In the playground area with Goofy's House I think we spent like an hour at least there just sitting in the shade while the kiddos ran some energy off.

We were ready for a snack and we decided to do our traditional Mickey ear pretzels at this time while we watched the parade. Brooklyn slept the whole time during the parade but we saved her some pretzel haha. When Captain Hook came by in the parade Jake was mad at him for getting Peter Pan and Jake and the Neverland Pirate like in normal fan, right. So Jake in his angry stern voice said, "Hey, Captain Hook" then he gathered spit and spit at him. It was HILARIOUS (but of course we told him it wasn't good to spit at people and only laughed to ourselves, sometimes parenting is hard when you want to just laugh at all the things they say)! Thank goodness Captain Hook really didn't get spit on, or any bystanders. What a silly little boy haha!

After the parade we went on over to Tarzan's tree house. We then worked our bribing magic parenting skills and told Andie if she rode 3 scary rides (Mom and Dad rides) we would get her a bubble Ariel wand that she had been seeing so many little girls with. Guess what? It worked. We got to go on Pirates of the Caribbean with the kids and Jake was unimpressed that he had to go on a Captain Hook ride, after all we know how much he hates how mean he is towards Peter Pan and Jake and the Neverland Pirate.

We then got fast passes for Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain Railroad. We had wanted to go on the Matterhorn but the lines were always so long or the ride was closed. Andie went on each of these rides twice though, once with Mom and once with Dad. Andie was so brave. While awaiting for our Fast Pass times we did get to take pictures in front of the caste, Jake napped and of course Buzz Lightyear ride is always so much fun!

Andie got her bubble wand just as promised for letting Mom and Dad go on some rides with her. The kids had so much fun running around in those bubbles. By the end of the day we were beat and exhausted from the heat. that once we got back to the hotel we crashed in exhaustion.
