Jake 2 Years 8 Months

Jake, my boy, you are another month older. You have found new ways to mess up the house but always many many more ways to win your mothers heart and all those around you. I love you my handsome little guy. Jake at 2 years 8 months old...

1. Jake likes Aurora. Jake is such a good brother and has always let his sisters watch what they want and is very supportive of them. Jake sings the "Once Upon a Dream" song and it is the cutest thing ever. I love hearing your voice as you break out in song.

2. Jake has a love for Disneyland. We have an upcoming trip and keep showing Jake the ride videos on YouTube and we even told him he can meet McQueen while there. HE IS GOING TO LOVE CARS LAND! Jake is McQueens biggest fan and I can't tell you how often this guy says McQueen in one day, billions.

3. Jake is super tall. Jake is tall for his age and towers over all others. Jake at his most recent appointment is almost 40 inches (WHAT?) sometimes we forget he is only two.

4. Jake celebrated Halloween. I let Jake pick out his own Halloween costume this year and I didn't know what he would pick: Baymax, Hero, McQueen or what. Jake decided on himself, he wanted to be "Me" (Jake from the Netherland Pirates). Jake was the cutest little Jake around oh my goodness the sword I think was his favorite part.

5. Jake got stitches! Jake fell into the corner of our brick fireplace and right on his forehead it got a small cut that just was pouring blood nonstop. We went into an Instacare and met the coolest doctor there who did Jake's stitches. Jake got two stitches and was SO BRAVE! Of course I bribed Jake with a new McQueen toy (giant stuffed McQueen is what he picked) for being brave and letting the doctor give him stitches. Two stitches were in for 5 days and then we went back and got the stitches removed. Jake was so brave and I couldn't be more proud of him!

6. Jake is a fan of YouTube. Thank you YouTube for having people who have there lives centered around making this weird videos that ALL small children find so addicted and even as an adult if you don't watch out you will get sucked in too, WATCH OUT! Jake constantly is finding new toys he loves, new McQueen things, songs and rhymes, cool playgrounds or even funny videos of babies. Jake loves exploring YouTube.

7. Jake went to a dollar movie. Jake went to see "Nemo" as he calls it which is "Finding Dory". It was a fun little parent date we went on with Andie too. Jake did so well in the movie even though towards the end he was getting restless but what can you expect from a two year old.

8. Jake is a Gatorade King. Jake is constantly asking for Gatorade because of the fact he is a drinking fanatic plus it is McQueen color which you can't beat this and it is the only drink that doesn't affect his digestive system in some way. Jake has such a sensitive little stomach when it comes to drinks. Gatorade though I have never seen anyone more excited to drink Gatorade in my life.

9. Jake is excited for Christmas. We have set up the tree and even though Jake has no idea whats going on he is so excited. Jake keep saying how excited he is for Christmas just from what Andie keeps saying to him about presents (new McQueen toys is all he is hearing). It will be a fun Christmas this year in just over a month to what this little boy will react like, his reactions are priceless.

Jake Oliver you are seriously a perfect fit to our family and we can't imagine our lives without you. You bring so much joy, trouble making, laughs and smiles. You truly are such a blessed little boy and have so much to offer all those around you. I love you my boy, always and forever!
